In my recent experience working with Porsche dealerships within SoCal (of which I purchased a vehicle on Sunday!), I came to the conclusion that any discount is highly contingent on a myriad of evolving factors including economic outlook, political influence (eg, tariffs, tax credits)...
It's optioned with the Bose as part of the Premium Package.
After conducting some A/B testing (Bose vs Burmester), I personally felt that the lower end frequencies from the Burmester were lacking and therefore the upgrade was not worth searching for.
My future self feels torn as I'd love to...
FWIW: I was able to negotiate a 5% off MSRP for my custom build-to-order.
My local SA didn't feel enthused about the idea, but ultimately he was willing to work with me given the amount of options I selected (+$40k on a Base Macan MY2026).
As posted here, I serendipitously found a near...
UPDATE: I received my vehicle sooner than expected!
For context: I've been searching the past 6 months for a specific build on the resale market but I wasn't able to find anything similar. My luck felt thin, and with a baby on the way, time was running out.
As I was about to enter the...
Techno pairs nicely with crunchy / crisp bass (high BPM), so I could see why the Burmester works in this case. Planar magnetics have a similar effect for this subgenre of EDM as well.
Thanks to @PrudentOcean, I had the opportunity to check out the Burmester in the Macan EV today.
Objectively, Burmester is superior in nearly all technical aspects relative to the Bose including improved clarity, soundstage, tonality, and imaging. This lends itself well for mid-to-high tier...
Thanks for the advice everyone.
Any tips on how to get management to offer a higher discount given the amount of options Iām selecting?
FWIW, I'm located in Orange County, Southern California.
Title.
Saw on Reddit that it can range anywhere from 3-8% depending on Porsche dealership / location.
In your experience, is this true?
For my case, I was given $3300 off for an MSRP of $101k. Will request more given that Iām updating my spec to an MSRP of $124k later today.
Definitely does.
Thanks to @PrudentOcean, will be checking out his Macan Turbo fitted with the Burmester upgrade on Wednesday in-person.
I'll be sure to share my thoughts then.
This is true š
Thatās why Iām keeping both⦠or at least until the Cayenne Coupe Turbo EV comes out.
Was going to get the Cayenne Turbo EV however that rear design is a bit⦠hmm, how should I say it: controversial?
Oh, I wasnāt aware that Heated Window is a cell phone blocker. Anyone have personal experience with this?
Also: what mode does Sport Chrono provide?
On a side note, I really wanted to like the AR HUD however it does give a bit of nausea when trying to focus on it in bright environments. YMMV.
Lots to think about, but in thinking big picture: I never liked the way any car felt that steered automatically on roads. My tolerance goes up to Adaptive Cruise Control, but anything further than that makes me sleepy as the driver engagement decreases with decreased input from driving itself...
Thanks for the feedback. I've been going back and forth switching from the Macan Base RWD to the Macan 4 AWD. I'm located in Southern California and do not plan on taking the vehicle to any snowy conditions. In this context, my understanding was that RWD would favor steer/driving dynamics...
Already tried the other configs, with price still being around $5k-15k+ additional with options included. Makes sense given the base increase in pricing for the engine upgrade itself.
Seems like a good business model too as it becomes very tempting to config a max spec on the higher tiered...
