Can someone break this down for me?
It seems nuts that Penticton Toyota would add so much to put this way over MSRP...

That's Canadian dollars, yeah? So, about 60k? Seems like a decent price?

If that's US dollars than its beyond ridiculous. The most expensive 4R Platinum I could find in the states is a Black over Navy example at Joe Myers Toyota in Houston, Texas. MSRP + PIO's is $68,287, and they have a $7979 markup, so they are asking $76,266

Looks good on you though.

They may not want to sell it unless some sucker breaks their piggy bank

I am simply happy to see platinum (and maybe some limiteds) land in Canada!

I’m from Ontario Canada and I ordered a 4Runner Platinum a month ago the total price before taxes was $74,593 I didn’t add anything to the truck I was told waiting time 6 months to a year hopefully it’s sooner than that, I keep going to the dealership to see if anything new has arrived and every week I see a new SR5 but I haven’t seen anything with the IForce Max this is the first time I see a Platinum here in Canada!

One more thing, I wanted the Platinum with the electric running boards and I was told by the dealership that I couldn’t get one because Toyota was having major problems with the vendor??? so they were only building 2000 platinums with electric running boards and the rest with fix running boards, I believe that electric running boards was around $2200 extra??

Limited and Platinum have had the power running boards supply problem starting April 1st in Canada. On the 1st both trims were pulled from build&price, then added back later - Limited got a slight discount (boards deleted?), and Platinum got split into 2 trims for fixed and power running boards.

I put a deposit down on a SR5 because nobody could give me a straight answer about actual expected ETA of that trim, just parroting the same 6 months to 1 year+ for all trims. Now it looks like there was no need and there will be no shortage of SR5. But the 6 months to 1 year has so far held true for the hybrids, so get ready to wait.

You’re totally right I saw same thing in the build and price sheet we have two different Platinums one with the fix running boards and the other one with electric running boards.
The good news is the manager at the dealership said that Canada will start seeing a lot more 4Runners arriving because of the Tariffs that USA has with all the imports cars.
My dealership is call Heffner Toyota and I see every week for the past month one or two SR5 up for sale, I even when to see them.
For me personally I like all the stuff that the Platinum has to offer so I’ll wait

Just did a wind chill pearl build on the Toyota website and it was $77,600 - wouldn’t say that’s say over MSRP?

I didn't think it was, but I was confused why you were thinking it is overpriced.

Toyota.ca shows the Platinum trim, in Ice Cap, with a MSRP of $77,062.08, without any PIO's. The truck you posted shows a price of $79,020, with a "Full Ceramic Protection Package." I can't tell if there are any extra cost options as the picture you posted is full of glare and thus unreadable.

Is that "way over MSRP?" I don't think so, especially given how tight the Canadian market seems (based on comments in this thread and others). Seems the Canada market Platinum's are much-less expensive than US models.

That was my hope too when the tariffs began ramping up. But I'm not sure how that will work or when we might start seeing fruition, Canada spec is different on some trims
