What is "Quality Hold" Status

My Limited has been sitting at the Long Beach port since 4/24/25. My dealer has no clue when it will be released. This is extremely frustrating. It has been close to two months now and the complete lack of communication from Toyota corp is making a lot of customers upset. I understand it is because of the air dam bolts. Funny thing is I will be taking the air dam off when I get my car. I had a buyer for my 1997 4Runner that I bought new and still daily drive but that buyer found another car.

My Southern California dealer just contacted me and apologized and he said probably I will not get my car until August. That will be close to 4 months sitting at the Long Beach port.

That’s ridiculous. It shouldn’t not take that long to fix an air dam issue. The dealers should compensate and get us vehicles that were not affected by the batch held at port on the qc. The following batch without issues should be reallocated to us.

Mine is stuck at Benicia Port but dealer sent me a pipeline update stating that QC hold auality confirmation activity as of 05/22 - delayed for 70 days

Hopefully some of yours will be like mine....was pushed back till 07/06 then was told 06/26 and then magically arrived on the lot yesterday. will be picking up tomorrow hopefully

everyone whose vehicles have been sitting at that port, you only have a minimum deposit down or substantial money down? Mine should be at the port tomorrow and im only out $500

Same, only out 500. I put 1k down but only 500 is non-refundable.

I was able to also have them to agree to install my Peak Suspension front leveling kit, throw in roof rack cross bars and I’ll have the out the door price for a heritage blue SR5 4wd with 10y/125k extended warranty with tags title tax for $48k
