There is a far bigger gap between the base 4 and 4S than the 4S and GTS - the 4 drives and feels far slower than the 4S.

The Macan is based on the Q6 - of course it has differences but the underpinnings are Audi which isn’t a bad thing but don’t kid yourself it’s significantly different! If you are considering a Macan you can also consider the vehicles you mention!! I wouldn’t but there is no difference coming...

I have had an extended loan of a Turbo Macan and was underwhelmed. 4S performance in an SUV is fine. I didn’t like gas suspension either despite having had it in 2x Taycan. The Macan is an SUV based on an Audi Q6 so not expecting anything more really. had the 911 Turbo S 2 years now - amazing...

I have had this dilemma with 911 and Taycan - ultimately the difference in performance is marginal - I really dislike faux suede RaceTex everywhere and am very happy with my 4S with Bose, Roof 21s better seats leather parking off road pack etc. GTS seems unnecessary hence with 911 I jumped...

I borrowed a Turbo for an extended test drive and really didn’t see there was any significant benefit over a 4S - it’s an SUV EV after all! Personal choice for sure but I’m glad I saved money.

Agree 100% ! I’ve got a 4S and a 992 Turbo S - my 3 years bad experiences with x2 Taycan were awful.

I’ve seen 911 GTS not selling quickly when missing faux suede.

I had x2 Taycan 4S Cross Turismo - exceptional interior and no suede in sight. Sadly very unreliable and both (first in particular) spent a lot of time in the garage with no loan cars and little help from Porsche GB and hopeless dealership.

Suede is real leather! Alcantara and Race Tex are not .

Alcantara is faux suede too ! Whatever I don’t like too much of it , especially on the steering wheel. Personal choice I know!

What gap? If it’s full of RaceTex faux suede I’m not interested.

Two awful Taycan experiences- Dealer useless Porsche GB appear not to care - new dealer and Macan 4S better
