Iād say the opposite (though itās fluctuates by model), but the HK systems in BMW have gotten worse over the last 15 years Iāve been buying them (8/9 in total) and the handful of cars from the Porsche stable with Bose seem to be better.
fortunate or otherwise that doesnāt explain why a manufacturer takes an opposing position to others. Tesla obviously feels that the sacrifice in battery is out stripped by the performance increase in charging speed and time.
They realistically have more data than any other manufacturer but...
My experience:
Chester - Service - Very helpful and pleasant
Sheffield - Purchase - Very helpful, though lack of allocations pushed lead times.
Colchester - Speculative - Great and would purchase
East London - Service - Hit & miss, sometimes really accommodating and other times poor comms.

Iāve got as Model Y at the moment and it generally caps speed at c70kwh if the battery isnāt preheated. Not sure why Porsche & others have a different perspective to Teslaā¦
I think the shape and design was mislabelled as size (even though thatās also factually correct). āSpydersā are less aero dynamic than the āSā wheels because of the way the air travels over the wheels creating less turbulence as airflow cannot enter the wheel and arch etc.
Did your BMW actively cancel any driving assistance if you werenāt paying attention? I had an M4 that I recently sold had assistance and some sort of IR device on the dash but I never experienced it cancel an assistance. By contrast the Model Y Iām in for the moment, will cancel if you spend 10...
Reframe it - only 2% of the cars value to get the 22ās and have the wheels you want!
I do get it, deal specifics aside, they do not depreciate well and they are about £45pcm to upgrade on the GTS and about £65 on the 4S.
I had an ICE Macan and Cayman both in GTS trim. Admittedly no kids at the time but the interiors are hard wearing and held up well. Steering wheels take some looking after but a retrain can be had for £200.
Iād go GTS predominantly for the racetex interior and sport design pack. The bundles options are useful, though Iād spec them (and did) anyway.
The additional power is only useful for bragging rights down the pub. Sub 4 seconds to 60 in the 4S is enough. That was super car territory not so long...
I did try East London, was expecting a call back. Never bought from them but always felt the service was lacking when a friend was considering it.
Will see what happens over the next few days. Iām more than happy with the 4S. Just always had GTS trim levels.
Just to follow this up, two dealers (and 3rd party broker) are saying they canāt quote on a GTS yet. Not sure if anyone in the UK has finance offers, particularly BCH?
Confirmed by the existing dealer that thereās eight with deposits for GTSā and at best it would be May build slot for June/July...
I've called them as they are local.
Been advised by existing dealer that there's 8 in the que, so allocation wouldnt be until Mar for Jun delivery, complicated by getting an allocation on the 4S this week. They are going call back to see if their's any scope to get an earlier build.
I'm about £4.5k difference with £24k of options vs £17k on the GTS. Given a large amount of depreciation of the options over term on the 4S I'd imagine its going to be fairly similarly priced.
