Many thanks for your fascinating reports. The first thread I look at each morning ( when I get to see them in UK). Really interesting and encouraging for those of us waiting for dellivery
I am is same position. I never listen to music only speech and I want the extra space plus the saving is significant to be spent on extras I want. I have Bose in my Polestar ( part of package) and haven’t noticed an issue when I have driven loan car without them. I would still like to hear from...
I feel for those with problems. However every new EV and indeed ICE with sophisticated software has initial teething problems. Come to that so does any piece of new high tech. Think of IPhones initial issues. I have had a Polestar for last three years. The early ones were beset by software...
This is the invite I got by email even before I had confirmed order. To be fair my SA was surprised it arrived then. So either because I complained that I had been invited to pre view in London as promised or just they jumped the gun.
In UK I got an email offering this for anytime in next two years before I had even confirmed my order or locked in an allocation (which I have now done). My SA suggested waiting until I had my car until I took it up to get most benefit
That’s interesting. I haven’t got my Macan yet but in my Polestar 2 the best range by far is long distance at constant speed on motorway. I easily get 240 in summer 200 plus miles in winter at 75mph whereas shorter journeys or twisty roads with acceleration deaccelerstion hits range. It’s not...
Thanks so much. Looks like this is an Aventurine Green and I specd 4S 20” wheels on my 4 in this colour as I didn’t think the Standard 20” looked right with a dark colour (looked OK on Ice Grey). Delighted I did as they look good.
My understanding is it doesn’t raise it higher but the off road front bumper increases the angle of approach (if that’s right word) so you have more clearance. The rest of the off road package is purely cosmetic so I only ordered the bumper
Not sure they are really comparable at least here in UK. To get an Xdrive 50 ( and a 40 has much worse range and performance) you are talking of a minimum of £105,00 which is 50% more than a Macan 4 and it’s a much bigger car which isn’t ideal for our small country roads. Probably great for...
I think you are worrying too much. The issues with remote hacking were very real a few years ago and still are for older cars. However all modern remote access keys (including Porche) go to sleep after a minute of so of not moving and don’t broadcast a signal that canbe picked up. In addition...
In a. word no. Are you also going for the rwd version based on this?
I am sure rwd and steel drives well around town where most of these versions will be sold.
Pretty good review but Car and other UK websites like to push base model is best
I test drove a 4 on steel followed by turbo on air...
Really sorry for all you who are waiting. One query. Mine not due for delivery until early 2925 so not affected at present. One query are you not being provided with loan cars during delay? I had a delay in UK with my Polestar ( a long story they managed to sell my car to someone else the day...
Not that simple unfortunately. Yes stop go town driving uses less than high speed on runs. However short journeys from cold crucify range as battery never warms up. Good example in my Polestar I can easily get 240 miles on a long run on motorway at constant 75 mph. We aren’t limited to 60...
I really think you shouldn't worry about it. Modern batteries are very resilient. Most of the advice was about early days before they had good management systems. I have had a Polestar for three years and charge it to 90% whenever it drops much below 50% or when going on a trip. Happy to charge...
I don’t know if it’s the same in USA but in UK all your interaction is with a private dealer not Porsche so it depends how good (or not) the dealer is. The above post is interesting as I have dealt with several different Volvo dealerships with my Polestar. Two have been fantastic, one perfectly...
I have had a Polestar in UK where wipers are not an option and they are lower and you would expect more spray to be thrown up. Apart from occasionally reversing in heavy rain I have never missed a wiper ( and I was nervous about it) certainly never any issue once moving. My dealer strongly...
Should I be worried re Porsche batteries. Losing 10/15% in 3 years seems a lot. My Polestar has not lost any measurable capacity in 3 years and actually drives further on a full charge than when new and they advise charging to 90% which I always do except when100% for a long run. I also hear...
Is this a dealer/location issue? My dealer in UK says cars are coming through and going out without an issue. There were certainly several waiting to be picked up last week and a couple of demonstrators too and I know they came in and were on road in a day as I drove them. I wondered if it was a...
