during the fast charging session documented in thread - https://www.macanevowners.com/forum/threads/data-285-miles-on-a-single-charge-in-a-2024-macan-turbo-omg-im-happy.19810/#post-301749
at one point during the session about the 50% mark on the SOC - the front bumper fans must've been running...
Well Team - recently I had to drive from Aptos, CA to UC Davis and back to Aptos, CA - round trip according to navigation is ~284 miles - charging around the route is good - so I was never in any risk - but I thought I would see if I could do it in a single charge…so I charged the night before...
team,
back from a 20 day trip of a life time
left the Macan plugged in at 80% battery SOC - no special preparations - car was undriven for 20+ days…
got in it today - zero issues
this is just a data point for you - but the car "just worked" as expected today - zero faults…
YMMV
just checking in - delivered Nov. 15th, 2024 - promptly driven home 2700 miles from ATL to Santa Cruz, CA
issues so far:
discovered documented that North American Macan's are capped at 9.6 kW maximum L2 charge rate - not sure if this is a "Mistake" or by "design"
no response from Porsche to...

see the particular post…
some confusion as to March vs. June - but I see this as progress - maybe BYOA in March? who knows...
not a big list:
North American 11 kW L2 charging software fix (if possible)
OTA updates in 2025
phone-as-key support
North American BYOA Supercharger Access
strong EV sales for Porsche to show them the path forward
reliable EA charging support
well wishes to all forum members!!
well the whole get in a drive and get out and leave experience is simply 100% sorted with the Macan…
walk up to car
open door
get in
buckle up
shift in to drive/reverse
hit the go pedal and drive
come home
park
hit the park button
unbuckle
get out of the car
walk away and hear it "chirp"...
I optioned the AR HUD on my 2024 Macan EV Turbo - I'm a sucker for tech so I've would've done it even if it "wasn't" new - I'm also experience with Porsche/Audi HUDs and they are pretty standard and acceptable, but lack any WOW factor - I have the 2021 Cayenne TurboS eHybrid w/HUD - and it's a...

Existing vehicles that have already been delivered and have in-car video functionality can be retrofitted free of charge via a software update.
Macan's already have this - but apparently Porsche...
close enough I believe to help us all understand why our charge rate gets slower as we get closer to full…

it's well known to most potential EV owners that cold weather range takes a big hit with an EV - this surprising some people is a core reason in my opinion that has caused EV's to fall out of favor recently - I'm hoping this is temporary and EV's will come back and we're in a normal adoption...
it's nice to see Porsche finally making progress in catching up techwise to other modern vehicles…
so far 2+ weeks in I'm liking the progress I've noted in the following areas:
the AR HUD is a major step in competitive tech and is no longer state of the art 2009 - good job Porsche this is a...
This is big news - up until now I believe we all assumed Macan would be limited to 150 kW @ North American superchargers!!! But the report above indicates a 225 kW charge rate…
This means one of two things!
Macan can support 250 kW charge rate @ 400V FastDC stations like superchargers!!
the...
given testing I've done and others it appears Porsche is shorting us on the 11 kW onboard charger claimed in Standard equipment and the owner's manual.
My 2024 Macan Turbo does NOT in fact support 11 kW charging - I can not get it to exceed 40 amps (9.6 kW)…
this poll is to establish if...
these threads are long but thorough and have been well received in the Taycan community - using the included EVSE w/Macan (the Porsche Universal Charger (PUC)) - but some owners have wanted options and a deeper understanding of the choices - these threads go over those choices…...
Now that I've arrived home I've been able to accomplish some charging with my home residential charging system.
I can report the following:
so far the Macan EV works just fine with the Tesla Universal Wall charger(s) I having installed sharing a 100/80 amp dedicated charging circuit
last...
TLDR; same way it works with Taycan or any other J-1772 EV in north America
this thread is an old but good - and since the Macan EV is pulling a new audience posted here so they can find it over in the Taycan forums…

Team,
if you should care - Porsche has finally acquiesced to provide me a potential Atlanta Delivery date for my 2024 Macan EV Turbo…
they have provided me a range of possible pick up dates and asked me to pick my top 3 - I have provided my top 3 and I'm simply awaiting Porsche Atlanta's...
