Actually, I see through this new PCM release the addition of "Android Automotive OS" compatible apps (Youtube, etc.). To me this not incompatible with a future update of our Taycan. This might be a wishful thinking but as you all say, let's see.

What it says is the PCM is running based on Android OS which is already the case for our Taycan. Android automotive is a complete different animal.

Android automotive is not running PCM6. PCM7 might but not until years. Agreement with Google is only a couple of weeks old.
