    Rear Camera Wash Function 👍

Just drove 300 miles in dirty, spotty rain post snow, just a super dirty drive. Could not see a darn thing in reverse...hit the spray and wow that worked to perfection! Smart feature. Especially since the camera sucks (refresh rate is terrible and the view is so fisheye as to be semi...

Any regrets / do-over wishes for your Macan EV specs? …”No Ragrets? Not even a single letter?” …

Kind of wished I had the 4s. 😅😅. But hey, I do love my 4 just fine. No! More power. It's ok Duke, the 4 has pep just fine! NO NO NO! We want MORE POWER! OK clearly I am conflicted. 😅 On actual specs, part of me wished I got rear axle steering. Turning radius ok but more would be nice...

Plug and Charge works after reset

I did this once...didn't work even reloaded the app and a few other suggestions I found online. Nada. Then took to the dealer, they reserved again. Nada. They said u will have to wait for the next software update. In the meantime u can use the app to get electrify American stations to...

Cannot access charging or pre-climate in app - all other app features work?

Just today it would not precondition. Then I clicked on functions and the only function showing is alarms. None of the others. I can't see m to get any of the other features back. It currently won't show me just about anything... The state of charge, etc

Macan EV recall in US - headlights may shine too bright (2,941 units affected)

So on the way home today I noticed that individual LEDs get brighter and dimmer as I was moving through traffic. I could see clearly on the white van in front of me as lights changed. Then, I see this article tonight... I am suspecting. I have European spec lights on my car? Which if true I'd...

    Battery temperature

The issue is whether using energy to heat the battery uses more energy than the loss of efficiency of a cold battery when driving. And the answer is ..probably, it depends on how cold, and how far one will drive with the cold battery. I started a post a few days ago on my first freezing road...

My first, absolutely freezing, road trip

I have the 21s....they gave me Michelin. The car battery does not keep warm. The lowest I saw on this trip was getting into it on a 14 degree day, I turned on pre-climate about 2 minutes before I got into my car, and the battery was I think 26 or 29 degrees...upper mid 20s! Next cold trip I...

My first, absolutely freezing, road trip

Back in Chicago! Funny thing, at the first charging stop I met a guy who rolled up next to me in an Ice Gray Taycan Sport Turismo...so we had matching Ice Grays next to each other. :) Quite a sight! We were both slightly envious of the other's car! And then at the charging next stop, he...

My first, absolutely freezing, road trip

Update, first stop home, EA 350...as Yves said...takes time to precondition! Car was at 45 degrees and about 20-25 from the station it took itself to about 75 degrees. Got here, plugged in, 265 kw within a minute, off and on the road again! Nice. So lesson learned...give the car PLENTY of...

My first, absolutely freezing, road trip

    Back this AM at a different EA charger location (350) 10 min drive, 14 degrees, battery 26 degrees, set nav, 10 min drive. Arrived at 31 degrees. Car charging data: 37%, 31 degrees, 60kw 45%, 40 degrees, 70kw 50%, 47 degrees, 82kw 55%, 55 degrees, 89kw 60%, 63 degrees, 95kw 70%, 75 degrees...

My first, absolutely freezing, road trip

Speed is a huge range killer: yup! But if u can drive fast and charge fast, overall the math clearly shows it's faster than driving slower and charging less. IF when u show up at a 350 you can get over 200, that is! Which, again I got 230 the first time, but only 100 these past two attempts...

My first, absolutely freezing, road trip

I have set the destination. This morning I sent the nav to the car, got to the car 3 minutes later. Car was nice and hot! But battery was 29 degrees, though only 14 outside so likely it helped. But with an additional 7ish minute drive, battery got only to 34. Was hoping preconditioning...

My first, absolutely freezing, road trip

These were single cord chargers. Yup I have had the car for about 6-7 weeks, don't have home (condo) charging but my company has dedicated level 2 stalls and they are free! That (chargers are by Zeal) has been working flawlessly.

My first, absolutely freezing, road trip

Well, it is not done yet but I am halfway...traveled from Chicago to Des Moines, and been here a few days. Temps plummeted...12 F right now. So how did the Macan do? As a first time ev owner, well, good and bad. Will share what I saw here and post again I hope at the end of the trip...

[FAQ] - Don't overthink the NACS native port transition…because it doesn't matter

Is there a way to have the navigation map in the Macan (or if not, plug share) able to show nacs slow charging stations and route to them? Not a huge value to get the charger and not know where such chargers exist. Sure, I can turn on nacs (at least in plug share) but u can't seem to...

Real consumption / range / efficiency thread … post your Macan EV performance 📊

    Pet peeves

My biggest pet peeve so far is the left-most circle in the main display. I mean, really now: choose between tire inflation, g forces, traffic sign ID, and a big battery icon/indicator? Ugh. None are super useful. Meanwhile, the right-most has mostly important/high value stuff...nav, trip...
