I have to admit this update makes the biggest difference so far.
The car is MUCH more smooth, the air suspension is way batter, is eliminates this cracking sound over speed bumps, assistance systems work better, so far not a single glitch like a warning light or phone charging error.
It seems...
It seems the newest WTA6 campaign (software update to SQ5) resolves this problem 100%.
It does not mitigate this or make it less annoying, it makes it disappear.
Night and day difference.
This is what this car should be from the start.
Let's hope after 30-50k kms with this fault there is no...
This dust issue is yet another very serious design flaw.
If you park the car on dusty road during summertime you will pull sand out of your teeth, it will be all over the interior, I have never seen anything like this in any other car.
Some people don't mind thought, either they like dust or...
Seems this update + all the changes from previous updates resolve all of the most annoying issues.
I'm super impressed they managed to solve this knocking sound over speed bumps - I guess in the end it's not "by design" as they bullshitted before, it's impressive something like that can be done...
While Taycan is a fantastic car I wouldn't be so harsh on the Macan.
If you equip you Macan well (like club leather, race tex, air suspension, PTV, perhaps a GTS version) you will not feel a significant step down compared to Taycan. The build quality will be comparable, looks could be fantastic...
I get your reasoning. I would check this particular car for service history.
There are two types of problems with Macans:
1) annoying issues and problems affecting most cars (like assistance systems warnings etc) - these are mostly fixed by the most current software update
2) serious issues...
The newest update 28.13 SQ5 seems to resolve most of early stage issues but I would assume Taycan J1.2 should me more reliable compared to first gen Macan.
I wouldn't buy a used one without looking deep into service history.
TBH most of these issues are resolved by newest updates and as for #1 you can disable it in settings (I assume the A/C kicks in when opening car - there is a setting for that)
No, the very fact assistance systems are ON but NOT active causes problems in my case.
Meaning LKA and ALK are OFF and I'm manually driving the car.
How? You press the button on the left lever controlling drive assist.
It's ON but not ACTIVE until you pull the lever towards you.
So having this...
MY2024, one of the first from production line.
Keep in mind LKA is not active when my car pulls to the side.
The system in on and ready but not active.
As for the consumption I think it's related to steering issues - car has to compensate, this goes to increased tire wear and consumption.
I...
Hi, perhaps this will help others.
I've been struggling with my car pulling to the left/right during acceleration for about a year. It was hard to pinpoint in the beginning as it's not always there during city driving, you have to go out to the highway and then you feel it all the time. Also...
TBH presenting the SoH of the battery during the sale of an EV while not making it explicit which battery it refers to and putting the data for 12V is very misleading and does not reflect well about the honesty, intentions and integrity of the seller.
Who cares about SoH of 12V battery in an...
