So far nothing, will let you know if anything happens.
They claim it affects most 4 and 4S on the lot and it does not affect Turbo - so these are not isolated incidents.
They claim it's not the suspension, they triple checked everything and are sure this is not the cause. Best guess it's...
Check if this is coming from sensors behind rear view mirror.
There is this plastic cover right behind the mirror and sometimes something inside makes this noise.
Update - I've driven other Macans with air suspension and this cracking sound was on all of them. You have to know how to reproduce it "on demand" (you have to use brakes and let them go just before the bump).
My dealer confirms this is a common problem but is out of ideas, they say best guess...
Update for those interested...
I went back and asked for a full re-alignment. They test drove the car, did notice the steering was a bit off. After the re-alignment was done correctly steering was still not perfect so they kept the car overnight and did some experiments with other set of...
Hi, I've had a chance to drive Macan 22" (demo), 21" (mine) and 20" (loaner) in one day.
All air suspension, all winter tires and similar cars so it's very comparable.
Impressions?
There is not much difference between 21 and 22 in terms of ride quality.
There is big difference however between...
Is it on park on drive?
On drive - it could be external sound the car emits for pedestrians.
On park - it could be coming from speakers and it's something like electric buzz/interference, I head it sometimes and it's hard to diagnose.
Hi, my car was often leaning to the right since delivery day.
After 5-6k kms my dealer did full suspension geometry (you can do that under warranty up to 10k kms).
It showed some red values before (out of factory) and all green after.
The car was super stable after that and I think the...
I had no luck turning on Plug & Charge even after PCM factory reset.
However I was changing some settings and opened "privacy settings" menu.
You can turn on and off Porsche Connect service there.
Couple of minutes after this I was able to install cert in my app.
Plug & Charge started working :)...
I would like to be able to turn it off manually after the drive.
When I push the power off button and try to get up from the seat the car turns itself on again.
I had the same problem and had to drive the car myself with the tech guy to show them how to reproduce. It's not easy because in my case it's connected to braking - if you just go over the speed bump nothing happens but if you brake just before or during there is very audible cracking sound and...
No I don't and I don't know how to check it.
It's not the PCM software version, this one I checked.
PCM shows May 2024 but this is just Android Auto.
My car was delivered Sept 29th last year.
I have innoDrive but it was fine before.
May be a bit smoother now.
Also I think parking sensors work...
Hi, there are several threads about LKA and other assist systems not working all that well.
So... my car was at the dealers for an unrelated matter and turns out there is a service campaign for this.
They did a software update and sensor calibration - don't know any more then that.
There is...
OK so I have an interesting update for those who follow this.
My car was at the dealers to fix the suspension issue and turned out there is a recall / service campaign for my VIN - software update and "sensor calibration". I've noticed much improvement after this, no false positives during...
Please let me know how it goes.
Mine is still not resolved.
Make them escalate this to Porsche.
Sorry to hear this story but I'm optimistic once these issues are resolved this would be a very solid car. I've had my share of problems with new cars from many brands. My M3 had the drivers seat...
So my car is at the shop for another issue (suspension cracking over speed bumps) but I've also had these random errors and turns out there is a software update they are applying that is supposed to fix this. We'll see, don't know any details. Is there a way to check the software version? I know...
OK so my car is at the dealers, they applied this fix, drove the car over bumps and it didn't help.
They made a video of this problem (which affects also some other cars on the lot) and sent it to Porsche, waiting for reply.
There is one strong case for the need of OTA update - the Plug&Charge issue.
It's clearly a bug and it's clearly something that OTA should take care of.
If this is not happening 4 months since first deliveries... it's a bad sign.
If I was wasn't able to drive the car for 3 straight months after pickup due to technical issues I would ask for a refund ;) The car has it's share of problems but this seems extreme.
"Make of this story what you will" suggest one of two - beware as this may be a common issue (which I don't...
Unless it's persistent and returns a couple of times I learned not to bother.
I've had that several times along with a red warning to stop driving due to this.
Usually goes away on itself.
Dealer is clueless, I'm sending pics like that every other week.
Hope I does not catch fire some day after...
