I have battery info on left. Nav on center. The same thing on the right but with diff set of info.. but I really wish the right and left ones had more useful info available.
I would especially love to know how much power is being used/regen'd in real time.
I have the Porsche dashcam. The dashcam and app itself is average... I have Garmin and VIOFO dashcams on my other car and frankly, they all kind of suck.
If cost value is the most important to you, don't get it. The dashcam costs 130 USD or whatever for the pre-wiring. Another 500 USD for the...
I don't know what software version I have but I received it mid April. It also did not have these issues early on but now it's frequent. A 10 min drive pauses the music 2x probably. Even my AA has issues where it continues playing the music on my phone, which my other car has never done that...
I have wired/wireless AA on other cars and do not experience this issue. Another annoying thing is if I use the native Spotify app instead of from AA, it randomly pauses the music. So it's either have random music pauses or have my phone keep playing the music when I get out of the car.
Higher amperage results in less loss - not more - but 48, 40, 32A, really makes little difference. My battery temp barely goes up when I charge at the 9.2-9.3 kW rate that it's running at.
I personally am not a huge fan of the Macan styling, particularly the fat round rear look. The Cayenne seems to have a rear spoiler on the back end of the roof like the current ICE design, which just looks so much better.
I only used a DCFC once just to give it a try and I noticed my battery temp increase to over 100F. I was under the impression that the cooling system would keep the battery within the ] always but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Yeah it's not a perfect fit but the weathertec one is only marginally better and as long as it covers most of the windshield, I'm fine with it. Still rather have something I can store in the back pocket and takes up almost no space, instead of in the trunk.
This is what I ended up keeping: https://www.mcarcovers.com/products/porsche-macan-ev-2024-heat-and-uv-sun-shade-by-oc-sun-shade-mcarcovers?srsltid=AfmBOoq82MjYU1ibrzqDXObHtItXhmeuVXXokU-C6zUT2c0ox7B-NXcn
I tried the weathertec one but I hate the bulkiness because it doesn't collapse. I like...
The manual doesn't really say how you can open the door. It shows you how to unlock it from the outside by pulling 5x on the handle and then put the fob on the VIN part of the windshield like some weird mating ritual.. also to manually lock the doors using the key in the glovebox. But nothing...
Yes you can. I suggest buying a micro SD / type C (or whatever USB port your phone has) reader off Amazon for $10 and keep it in your car as well in case you need to pull a recording and you can't connect to the dashcam's WIFI.
I got the Macan purely as a city driver so a bigger car isn't what I would want, sticking to ICE for long distance travelling. Also will probably not get another EV until solid state batteries are proven and mass produced, guessing in the next 5 - 10 years.
I believe Porsche is making a 7...
