I keep the key in a faraday box by the front door (probably 25-30 feet away). I would think the faraday box will prevent any unintended communication with the car.
So I was one of the first to take delivery of the new Macan EV Turbo at my dealership. Picked it up in late September 2024 (after it sat there for 2.5 weeks while waiting for a software update to be done). I've had what I would call "minor inconveniences" that needed attention throughout...
I haven't quite figured out how the automatic spoiler function works. When I use the drive mode dial, there is an option for the spoiler. If you toggle it on in one of the modes, I believe the manual says the spoiler will extend at 55km/h. Can this speed be changed? I'd prefer it raise only in...
I updated the app............I must be dense............I cannot find where to add this toggle to the control center to be able to turn on pre-conditioning the car without going into the app.
Can't wait to hear if you have success with the dealer. If you do, please share the solution so I can bring it back to my dealer with a blueprint to fix it (and maybe even make a video about it!!......assuming this is THE OutofSpecDave :)..........I watched all your videos of your drive back...
I've been experiencing this too since taking delivery in early October. There are a few self-fix options that have had some level of success, but still nothing from the dealership. When I left them my car, they gave the standard "our tech didn't hear anything" response.
Crap............rattle/clunking is still there. Guess it wasn't the misaligned tailgate. Of course my SA told me the tech never heard the sound, which boggles my mind. Guess it will have to go back for further analysis to figure out what's causing it and what the fix is.
So I just heard back from my service advisor and he tells me that the noise was a result of a "misaligned tailgate". They aligned it properly and the technician said he didn't hear the sound anymore but I'm to keep an eye on it and monitor it.
Fingers crossed that was the issue and the annoying...
Thank you for sharing!! I’ve forwarded this to my SA. My car is at the dealer now to have this looked into (as well as the fact that both the batteries in my key fobs have died twice within 2 months of owning the car!!).
I have noticed the exact same issue. I'm bringing mine in for service on Friday to have them take a look. I suspect it has to do with the parcel shelf. Will keep you posted!!
I don't think so. The second fob has been sitting in my house since the day I picked up the car. I keep both keys in a faraday box so I don't think either key is trying to "communicate" with the car while it's parked in the garage.
