The first 10km were about 80-100km/h. After that 125-140km/h for around 90km. The last 25-26km were more traffic (a short jam and a some slower moving traffic on the highway...
I just did a 435km trip on my first day of really using the car (Macan Turbo, 22” exclusive design wheels):
- about 250km at steady 160km/h - consumption was 37kWh/100km (as I recharged before the return at a highway station for half of this stretch I could get an accurate reading)
- about 100km...
As promised in another thread - After a 9.5 month wait, I received my Copper Ruby baby earlier this week. I drove it straight to the detailer for PPF and coating, and yesterday I finally received the car fully done. Have driven around 100km since and I just love the car. I’ll post a more...
Finally received my Turbo - drives like a charm.
Dropped it off at the detailer - should get it back on Saturday. Will take better pictures and videos then…
Just received the long awaited call - car is ready for collection tomorrow. First delivery in Dubai :)
Have been waiting for this since January 27 when I ordered it…
Driving it straight to the detailing workshop for PPF and window tinting.
The Electric Viking is as reliable in his predictions on the car industry as my 13 year old daughter is. I watched one of his videos from 2 years ago where he predicted VAG would be one of the Top 3 brands in the car world in 2030 (and he was also predicting 95% of the cars would be electrical...
Update:finally arrived in the port here today. SA says it’ll take at least a week before they get it in their showroom as all the updates and changes will be done in an off-site workshop in an industrial zone.
I hope to get the car in the weekend of Nov.9. Already have made an appointment...
don’t take my word for it please - I am still waiting for my car. I was just replying to a previous post where someone said there should be an equivalent link on Amazon for the Ali Express product.
The dimensions are shown on Amazon - measure the actual vent dimensions in your car to confirm...
Sorry, about charging structure (as in moneywise) - they recently introduced a legal floor price of AED 1.26/kWh on public chargers (~0.35USD/kWh). 90% of public chargers are owned/managed by the government owned utility companies or national oil companies. Home charging is much cheaper...
It’s early days still but coming up fast - but still lagging EU and US I think. Not the real superfast chargers yet - in Dubai max is 150kWh, in Abu Dhabi 180kWh.
Encouraging EVs is a clear priority (they have a target to have 35% of new cars sold to be EVs by 2030) and the growth of chargers...
There is such demand for Porsche here in Dubai that they only have showroom vehicles and all orders are custom orders with months of lead time to get an allocation (earlier in the year there even was an order acceptance stop for 911s as the wait time for an allocation had supposedly gone over 2...
I was invited to their launch event earlier in October - they had: Provence, White, Black, Oak Green and Gentian Blue. They are supposedly currently only available for media to test drive locally for their reviews and would be available for general public test drives in November.
I ordered the...
A late reply, but mine is exactly that - bramble interior. It arrived today in port and expect to get the car in a week of 10 days. I’ll share pictures once I can go see the car…
On this subject of PPF vs. Ceramic Coating, my SA recommends PPF as in case the Ceramic gets damaged, the whole panel would have to be redone, while PPF is an easier job. Interesting enough, the SA that helped us last year when buying our Cayenne GTS had the opposite opinion and recommended a...
