OMG this is a sore subject for me this month!
Those who have been on this forum for while will probably know my profile name well for being the moaning woman who complains about the sensitivity of the emergency breaking on the Macan. I get collision warnings flash up pretty much every journey -...
Thanks for sharing. I’m currently looking to swap my 1 year old Turbo for the top of the range GLC EV. I’ve had enough of all of the tech issues with my Macan, and will happily sacrifice the speed of acceleration for a car with working gadgets and a comfortable drive.
If Porsche can’t get their...
I’m with the OP on this one. Land Rover once claimed to be doing road tests when my Evoque was in for a fault. What actually happened was one of the engineers took it on a 20 mile trip to take his partner out for a meal one evening, then stored it overnight on a not so secure driveway (not the...
Quite a few of the paint shades change in the light, speaking from experience with Provence which is either a lilac shade in the sun, or a smoky purple/grey on a cloudy day. My husbands Taycan is a random shade of white/silver in differing conditions. It's nice to switch it up on a daily basis lol
I paid for 3 years up front as it worked out cheaper than year on year a beat any inflationary hikes. It definitely wasn’t £750 (going off three years at £250 a year). It was all sorted directly with Vodafone - Porsche had nothing to do with the au script ion side of things.
They are definitely a worthwhile investment. I’m urban and ordered mine with the car, so also had a few months wait after collecting the car until Porsche restocked. They are well worth it in winter, although mine collect up all season grit and wet weather debris. Far easier to keep clean, and...
I imagine so. There isn’t a separate reservoir for it, and many have reported that when their cars have been in or service/repair it’s resulted in no water coming through, which eventually does after about 10 presses, which would suggest it’s coming from the front of the vehicle and needs...
This is just a little tip/reminder for those who might not have found this less obvious feature, given that the weather is the UK is so wet and dreary this season.
If/when your rear view camera gets covered in mud and gunk, there’s a button that pops up when you put the car into reverse that...
Yeah - I think that’s the difference. I’ve realised that I prefer technology and comfort, to speed and being able to throw it around corners but at the risk of being throw into a hedge on the straight and slow 🤣 . Don’t get me wrong - I have great fun pulling away at the odd junction and blowing...
I'm basing my opinion of MB's electric offering on my close friends EQE, his daughters EQA, and my best friend's husband's EQA. They may not be any better than Porsche, but they can't be much worse - in my current opinion, and I'll have paid considerably less money to find out.
A coupe isn't...
Having been on this forum for nearly a year now (my Turbo was one of the earlier deliveries in the UK as I put a deposit down the day after it was launched in the UK), I've seen enough posts from fellow UK users regarding the same issues to know that my car is not the exception, and as annoying...
As one of the few other women on this forum (from what I can tell anyway) please don't use being a lady as an excuse for not knowing a car feature. We're meant to be the sex that actually reads the instruction manual you know! ;o)
Response from ChatGPT - Turn it off and on again.
That is how most of these stupid warning signs are resolved. I had a rear differential fault the other morning that magically resolved itself after that most technical of fixes lol
I bed to differ regarding
a) the OP stating the price is the only thing wrong with the Macan as I can still state a whole list of tech faults/functions that have had to be disabled as they are dangerous with my soon to be one year old Turbo that are still a pain in the ass/don't work at all...
I'm completely with you on not trusting the car! I have given up on using most of the systems I used to love about my previous Audi e-tron as with Porsche they just don't behave as they were intended and are dangerously not fit for purpose.
I was having a similar issue with the port door not opening. I mentioned it last time the car was at the dealer and since then it’s been opening fine. I’m not sure what/if they did anything to it, but it’s definitely working as it should now.
I’ve not had exactly the same issue, but I was woken at 11pm one night by the alarm going off whilst the car was in my garage at home. The system said the frunk was open (it wasn’t) so then the rest of the car wouldn’t lock. Several attempts at locking/starting/trying to open the frunk...
