I previously had a Hyundai ev. Podpoint charger was set to work during cheap rate times. it was perfect, no problems. But the Macan is just so complicated. Also once I have set up timed charging in the car at night, do I have to cancel those timings if I want to charge during the day?

I had a Porsche technician come out and set the car to start charging at .30am to 5.30am but he set a departure time of 9.00am and the car carried on charging past 5.30am. The technician told me to change the departure time to 5.30am. Which I thought I did. Now when I have just tried to plug in...

I’ve discovered that if I don’t set a departure time in the car it continues to charge after my cheap night rate ends. So first night I charged at home I set a departure time of 9am. Where I should have set it at 5.30am which is when my cheap rate ends.

Yeah! Just checked the car and it’s charged overnight, no problem. The answer is to set the timer in the car and not on your charger.

Yes I have a three pin plug cable. i will think about using that BUT I should not have to. If Porsche had to,d me in the first place that my charger was not compatible I could have had a new charger installed months ago. I’ve had the car on order since March!
