When reading all of these replies, I thought I might add that the Macan EV's battery chemistry likely makes it so that battery longevity *could be* extended by allowing the car's computer to optimize trickle charging with feedback from the BMS. Theoretically, charging at a lower rate with cues...
Thanks for posting this. It was a good reminder that people may have trouble closing the passenger door in our car because there is something wrong with the window functionality.
I'm a USA Chubb customer with multi-policy discounts that are so difficult to understand that I've given up. No accidents in 20 years. No speeding *convictions* or other traffic citations. The agreed upon value for the car for year 1 is the exact amount I paid for it, including all dealer fees...
XR Black Plus 70 is 2 Mil thick versus 1.5 Mil thick for all of the other XR Black and XR Black Plus tints. I'm thinking about buying XR Black Plus 70 for the entire car and I'm curious if anyone has had a problem with the thickness.
Fascinating.
When my car was going through its Passenger Display Always Visible to Driver period, the passenger could be clicking through screens, watching YouTube videos, etc. and the driver could still see it. Now, the driver can't see the passenger screen again while the car is moving ...
Thanks. A key part of this question is that the automated system (adaptive cruise control) is completely controlling the deceleration of the vehicle and she never depresses the brake pedal. She's asking whether the person behind her is going to see a brake light while the car's computer system...
My wife asked me some questions today that I'm not certain about. For these questions, assume the Macan EV has Innodrive and adaptive cruise control enabled.
When adaptive cruise control brings you to a complete stop at a stoplight or just behind traffic, does the brake light always display...
The passenger display decided to become invisible to the driver again today on my car. The only change that happen today was the login of a guest driver. No idea if this was related but I figured I would report it in case someone else sees it later.
It's true, correlation is not equal to causation. I reported the event like this because it was a noticeable outcome at the time. It was the exact time of the failure because we were using the passenger display immediately before the charging and then immediately after the charging.
This is how it worked until I charged it at an EA 350kW DC charger a few days ago, and then the passenger display became visible even when it should not have been. Again, it now plays YouTube videos and the driver can see them.
Thanks. I do understand how it is supposed to work, and I reported the issue here because it is not behaving normally. It was a behavior change from the week before. And, yes, Youtube videos are currently visible to the driver while the car is in motion.
My 22" wheels w/Continental all season tires were delivered at 44 (+1) PSI front and 46 PSI back (+4). I haven't touched it and it generally seems fine, the least of my worries.
When I read that people had this error on the way home from the dealership, I'm really impressed that you held it together. After we made the decision to buy the car, training myself to understand and manage the number of unfamiliar alerts and error messages was almost overwhelming. This was not...
I am your cautionary tale on washing. My car has comfort access and motorized charge ports. I used the two button on the remote method to disable comfort access ... but it didn't work. I learned that by simply spraying the car with water and the first charge port opened. Then the front trunk...
Drew at Martian Wheels has Macan wheel options available and friends have measured them as fairly good efficiency on Taycan and Model 3/Y. I have 22" wheels on my Macan and will likely do a set of 20" efficiency/winter on the Martian wheels, if I can't find something better that I like.
I assure you, nothing was in the passenger seat when this started. But even if someone is in the passenger seat, as the driver, I am still able to view passenger screen while I'm driving today.
After I charged the car a few days ago at an Electrify America, I noticed that I could see the passenger display while driving. This has persisted for a few days.
I'm not complaining. I just thought it was interesting that the safety mode (passenger display is not visible to driver while...
I'm riding on 22" Continental all-season and, I have to admit, I cannot discern a difference between the tire noise in my car and my friends' Turbo with Michilins. I also can't yet discern a difference in handling, but we'll see if that changes.
I can recreate my condensation problem on many days, because it occurs when the car leaves my temperature and humidity controlled garage and is driven in a humid environment. Given the current location of the car and that the outdoors in this location is generally a high humidity environment...
