I was just in the My Porsche app, and within Vehicle Details > Functions, I noticed an āOnline Software Updateā tile⦠would someone mind confirming if this new? Or was I just not paying attention beforehand?
I watched this yesterday⦠we all know range is better at lower speeds, but I really appreciated this level of detail and some insight into the difference we might see in practice.
I put ChatGPT through its paces with translating, as well - I was impressed!
What Iām really after is the full suite of this nerd-level information thatās not outlined in the manual⦠I know thereās more beyond this spoiler detail floating around out there - hereās an example. I also feel like I...
I really appreciate this level of detail⦠Iāve seen a few bits of material from this document (perhaps different documents from the same source?) around the forum over the last year and a half, and Iāve gotta know - is a copy of the entire thing available somewhere?
There are a few threads about this on Rennlist⦠It seems quite a few folks received word directly from their SAs / dealers that orders that started production by March 31 (seemingly regardless of completion date) are āprice protectedā.
Itās unclear if thatās just regarding a potential increase...
Price protecting March-produced vehicles would be a huge win for me - I started production 3/27, and itās been sitting at Emden since 4/8⦠Reached out to my SA for confirmation a bit ago - Iāll update chime back in once Iāve gotten some clarity.
Iāve done the 911 ā2 vs. 4ā with the Carrera S and 4S (45 minutes in each) before, and that was a really neat experience - very cool to see those cars back-to-back like that and understand the differences between those drivetrains.
I did this back in January at PECATL, and had an absolute BLAST. My biggest issue was that the car was as fast (or faster) than everything else out there, so I felt like I was always having to be careful about not riding everyoneās ass ?
Just as a data point - I reached out my SA who says they (the dealership, presumably - no idea if this is the PCNA 'party line')
"... have been told to expect, assuming they do implement tariffs that affect our vehicles (it may just be on raw goods / materials), is a 7.5% increase. However, we...
I feel like I might've noticed an extremely similar noise for the very first time while driving our Taycan yesterday... Didn't think about it again on the way home (music was back on) - but I'll listen for it next time I'm in it and confirm.
I see a "Dealer Processing Fee" for $901... and then tax and some other Georgia-specific fees - Electronic Title Registration ($95), GA 'Warranty Right Fee' ($3), Title ($18), and Tag ($25).
I'm glad to see a recent review dedicated to a U.S.-spec Turbo model - I feel like they've generally been few and far between!
Coming from a '22 Macan S, and with the freeze date on my own Turbo less than a week away (March 10), it was reassuring to hear a YouTuber I'm familiar with / someone...
The CarPlay interface only displays the audio being played via your iPhone - unfortunately, in its current form, what youāre looking for just wonāt happen. In the future - if the 2nd generation CarPlay eventually rolls out (and, also, if itās implemented in our cars) - it looks like that could...
Iām ideally looking to get the Turbo in June, so ended up with a May build by choice. Didnāt ask specifically, but got the impression earlier allocations were available.
Can confirm! US-based here - I placed an order Monday and my dealer told me to expect the TYD email within 24 hours, but I had the email (subject was āTrack your Macan Turboā) from Porsche before Iād even finished signing the order confirmation.
Added to the app with a couple of clicks, and it...
