I just got my Macan 4S back this evening. I was told that this window problem is indeed a known issue and that it is fixed by Campaign WSJ0 Update to software network VR28.13.
For me, this was an intermittent issue, so if the window stays up for 9 months (or maybe an entire year), I’ll agree...
Markus,
Porsche stated it is a "known issue"?? Did they mention anything about what they, Porsche, is calling this issue? I've been having this problem for about a year now and no one here is the US knows anything about it. This way, I can tell my dealer what to look up for details.
Really?? Wow, not nice. I know that with a FitcamX they have a connector for their dash cam that ties in with the rain sensor. Not sure how difficult it is to install using that ….
Why not have the dealer install it for you??
I have not found any docs on any of the following:
- fuse box locations
- description of each fuse within each fuse box
- part number for the mating cable connector for the dash cam option
Thanks for the info. I called and have an appointment set for first part of Dec. Apparently, there is a hardware update as well. Still don't know what this update is supposed to fix tho...
Geez,
my dealer "hinted" that a software fix was coming, but so far, nothing....
I've talked to others and had heard things like the window motor needs to be replaced, possibly "interference" caused it to open ...
Not real happy
