Even without financial implication, this is a time consuming process. Not worth the hassle in my opinion. If you have a good alternative, I would just switch dealers and reach out to Porsche US.
Not really relevant for you but this is a major head ache for Drive Assist.
That's new. Not sure if related to apple car play. Would test if this happens as well without your phone being connected.
Otherwise, Porsche currently does have too many different software platforms and display sizes...
Nothing wrong with this if they would have asked you for permission.. Their response however wouldn’t sit well with me. Best for others in US to confirm if this is standard practice. I will ask my dealer in UK for sure.
@MMR Did you check voice control? You should be able to use google/Alexa for some searches. Would help on long drives with quizzes for the children :CWL:
Here in UK they drove excessive miles for airport valet parking. Not sure what the outcome is.
Your case however is on a completely different level. As mentioned by others, there are liability issues for your car and the customer so really can't think of any circumstances the dealer would...
I don't share same experience with Innodrive. Worked really well for me. Similar level to Mercedes. One car cycle in-between though. Mercedes is currently Level 2+, same as Drive assist on new Cayenne EV. Higher spec Mercedes GLC 26 will have Level 3 hardware though.
Apple car play integration...
I think the main point is to reduce trip duration under very specific circumstances. Porsche states
by the time you reach the charging station, the battery will be within the optimal temperature range, allowing you to charge at maximum speed.
Except:
1) Batteries perform best within a moderate...
Ok, thank you. Like to think it's a missed opportunity from Porsche. They should add functionality to precondition battery. Range in winter is significantly lower thus requiring more stops on longer drives. Guess, your preconditioning doesn't work for return from ski trip :CWL:
That's how I use it currently. Just wondered about precondition as mentioned by others here. My take, you can program precondition but car wouldn't know if its a short or longer drive.
I went through the threat and I am a little confused.
I usually charge the car to 100% for longer trips (longer first stint, smaller stints afterwards). I use slow charging to 100% in my garage. I don't have time to supercharge the car before trips (usually busy with packing and tying up loose...
Apparently solved for MY26. Would test drive once available. I have taken the gamble for first production batch of Cayenne EV. What can possibly go wrong :CWL:
That's even worse. Wonder why they showed it to you in the first place. They took back both my cars without any hassle for different reasons, but as mentioned above, I made little progress on the suspension.
I tested a few Macan and all except one (RWD) had similar noise. Porsche is aware and apparently solved for MY26, but I haven't seen anything in writing. Same for replacement part as fix for some models, rumours without evidence.
I didn't progress any further as I endured an other drive system...
