Ok, figured out how to remove the plastic shrouds. for anyone wondering - the black / white wire is the 12v and switched from ignition. The ground is the brown wire.

Appreciate any help you can provide. I just tried to take the plastic covers off and already broke two tabs so I’m going to stop there. If you can take some photos in the next few days that would be awesome.

Has anyone successfully done a mirror tap for a radar detector? I’ve read the threads on the dashcam install but everyone is running to the fuse box. I’d like to avoid running the cable through the headliner, A-pillars, door trim, etc. Thanks in advance!
