To start with, as I said, the first screenshot in my post above was from the My Porsche app, which uses the exact same routing as in car. But here we go. Three screenshots, two from the car, showing the route. And for sanity sake, a picture of the “road” that the in car nav wants me to take. Now...
Are you joking right now? The nav picture I sent is from the Porsche app, where I planned a route. If you'd like, I can do it directly in the car...will you admit defeat then?
I've also provided a screenshot from the car itself, showing that it's TomTom nav. Yet you persist in providing a cut...
I hear you. And I know what year it is…but what you shared was a press release. I’ll share the actual nav copyright page, from the PCM, which says TomTom provides Navigation services.
I agree with you that there is a Google integration with MAPPING. Can we agree that mapping and navigation are...
That says it plans to start production "in the middle of the decade." There's no evidence that rollout has begun yet. So this still governs: https://www.tomtom.com/newsroom/press-releases/general/25411/volkswagen-group-awards-global-deal-to-tomtom/
Please believe whatever you want. I know what...
Google Maps, referring to an app using navigation, traffic data and routing, is not built into the car. The car uses some Google mapping data, but uses TomTom for traffic, and navigation. It’s completely different from the Android/iOS app
I've made a few posts in this thread about my charging issues. Turns out they are not related to the software update and stem from something else. Porsche is replacing the Integrated Power Box, which contains the onboard charger, among other things. It took them two weeks to make this...
I should have expanded. Most people were able to successfully charge at dealership level 2 or other level 2 chargers at commercial locations (which typically have different voltage than residential). Mine could not.
Also, you and others successfully charged after using a voltage regulator...
I’m having a similar issue as you. I do not think that our issue is related to the software update as (1) we both had no issue with home/level 2 charging for a while after receiving the update and (2) no level 2 charging (or level 1) works at all for us. That is different from most of the cases...
I don’t believe my issue is software related or related to any kind of voltage situation. I think my car’s onboard charger may have failed. But will keep you posted.
I’ve posted in this thread a few times, but I’m now nearly certain that I have a DIFFERENT charging issue. My car was not able to charge at the dealership. Others experiencing the charging issues in this thread have successfully charged at this dealership. Will update with whatever they find.
I’ve dropped it to as low as possible before getting the low voltage error on the charger. I believe it’s right around 80. I’m using the Vevor auto variable transformer, linked above.
As I mentioned in another post, my home charging worked fine for a month after the update, then suddenly...
My car has been sitting for a week. I’ll run it for a bit then try again. If there’s no solution, then it’s possible that the onboard charger is the culprit…which would explain why my car charged fine after the update, then stopped working all of a sudden.
I believe Porsche NA is aware of the issue. My service center had multiple Macans in for the same thing. They keep poking Porsche for a fix.
One possible issue: mine worked for a month following the update. I think others had the same experience. What happened to suddenly cause the failure?
Most commercial service is at 220v, which is why people are usually able to charge using a level 2 at Porsche dealers, even while failing at home.
It’s likely that you’d be okay charging at a hotel..but obviously a huge risk to take if there’s no high speed option nearby in case hotel charging...
