For anyone still following this thread... I test drove a Macan GTS today and it had 3D surround view.
For starters, I can thankfully confirm it still includes the same 'real life' kerbside camera views as the 2D surround (or surround view in 24/25 cars), using the side view icon and then you...
Indeed - seems like 3D surround + porsche entry/digital key is only now available with 'remote park assist' - before today there was the option of 'park assist' or 'remote park assist'.
What a really brilliant summary, thanks for taking the time to write that up!
From a 'user' perspective, the one time I really value OPD is in stop-start traffic, I know for a fact my wife really dislikes in on the motorway or country lane, for all the jerky retardation it inevitably brings...
Yes, I'm aware of the intended functionality, just wondering if anyone had any further info/images/video, since kerb assist was highlighted as a new feature for 2026 when selecting 3D surround view only, and 2D surround and I guess 2025 with surround doesn't have any kind of wheel highlighting...
Kerb assist view
Anyone with a 2026 car with 3D surround view care to comment on the usefulness (or any other insight) of the kerb assist view? This insta post is the only info I've been able to find for it.
I spoke to a couple of dealers who suggest they will register demo cars in March, but if I was really keen they could put their GTS demo on trade plates if I wanted to take it out… (I’m happy to wait)… also sounds like many/most OPC’s will have GTS as a demo, many to replace turbo demos they...
WhatCar review
Found this to be a well balanced review, and a decent update to their general Macan EV review, a highlight among recent reviews IMO.
Notably includes a number of comments/context regarding differences between GTS and 4S, PASM vs Air, and differences in ride/handling vs...
driver monitoring, there were some previous messages about it here:

3d surround view
a short vid/update for this thread… according to the UI can still see the side/rim view as with 2d surround view, instead of needing to rely on the 3d ‘game’ view … transparent view pretty cool, but perhaps not useful unless you’re actually off road or want to avoid driving...
Carmine Red longer drive vid
First proper, non-marketing first impressions I've seen... not a lot of substance still but nice to see/hear the difference in the sport sound modes (just appears a lot louder in sport plus, I kinda like it), and to see the 21's in more context (liking them more...
If you're having PPF, absolutely 100% - no way you want to risk an avoidable stone chip or deep scratch before PPF gets put over it, and would likely have protected you from... if just a ceramic coating, then up to you. I would still go with detailer first, to avoid the dealer touching the car...
Agreed, just looks quite different from this, colour/temperature wise (albeit suffering from being overexposed this time 😂). I could say the same for the 22 Spyder’s to be honest - all the original press at launch especially, on the Carmine car, have them looking almost black too, typical video...
Yeah - they look too dark to be anthracite, unless of course the photos have been 'post-processed', lol, since even the Slate Grey Neo looks darker than normal... there is no option in the UK either to have them black from the factory, but dealers can easily paint the wheels post-delivery - it...
@Garylaw - I think the 21’s look even better painted satin black (on a GTS here):
Lots of new short videos and images drip feeding online, but still no driving impressions 🤦♂️!
