it adds quite unnecessary complexity and costs and friction and noise and does not bring the functionality and gain of a de-coupling. Check the Auto ETron SSP for details of the 2gearbox.
On the first glance it makes sense to doube the wheel torques "for free", but you can get the same result...
the gear whine is quite loud in Taycans, probably due to the 2-gearbox.
I guess one of the reasons they added the Porsche e-Sound to drown that out.

I did not find a single new information in this article, but at least one big wrong: the battery cannot consist of only 12 cells, I hope that is obvious to most readers.
