    Any essential specs to order?

Thanks for the clarification on the wires. The other issue that I've read about is that the heated windscreen can degrade the performance of a radar detector, which seems to make sense if there is a foil material present in the glass. Apparently, there is a small opening near the mirror though...

    Any essential specs to order?

Although I personally wouldn't order a few items on your list and have minor disagreement on a couple of nice-to-have vs must have and vice versa, I basically agree with your take on everything shown depending on the personal needs/wants of the buyer. I will mention just a couple of things...

Test drive review of Macan EV @ PEC ATL Experience w/ comparison vs. ICE Macan

Thanks. In the Taycan it's possible to change the settings for each of the available modes via the PCM while driving but they revert to the default when the ignition is turned off. The nice thing about Individual mode is it retains the modified settings for next time.

Test drive review of Macan EV @ PEC ATL Experience w/ comparison vs. ICE Macan

Thanks for your review! I'm wondering if you happened to notice what drive modes are available with Sport Chrono. For example, in the Taycan in addition to Normal, Sport and Sport Plus there are also Range and Individual settings. I particularly like and use Individual because you can customize...

    Under Door Puddle Lights

To clarify my earlier post, there is a light in the side view mirror housing of the base Macan that I have as a loaner. However, I'm fairly certain the optional "Porsche" illumination is not visible unless you open the door. If you look at the description in the configurator, the Porsche version...

    Under Door Puddle Lights

Assuming I understand your question correctly and that the lighting features in the Macan E are similar to the ICE Macan, the "Porsche" puddle lighting element is located in the underside of the door so there is no light unless the door is open anyway. Once the door is open there is a marker...

    Prep for Porsche Dashcam option

I'm not particularly interested in installing a dashcam but I would like to install a wired radar detector. Does anyone know if this option might provide a convenient and easily accessible 12V connection point or is it configured in such a way that it would only be useful for installing a...

My test drive of Macan EV Turbo (by Taycan owner) - review impressions

Thanks, John, for the reply. In fact, Autogefühl had the review I was referring to. I had not considered that the 22" wheels might have been contributing to the harshness that Thomas was describing. Personally, I would consider compromising with 21" wheels as the range efficiency might be a...

My test drive of Macan EV Turbo (by Taycan owner) - review impressions

Thanks for the great photos! I have a question for you. I saw a review from a German fellow on YouTube who did a fairly comprehensive look at the Macan EV Turbo including some time on the road. One thing that he said was that he wouldn't recommend the car for someone who would use it as a daily...

"There's only one customer for electric vehicles" - Article link

Opinions are like you-know-whats, everybody's got one. I put no more stock in the overly negative opinion from the author of that piece than anyone else. Unsurprising to me that it surfaced in the Washington Examiner. Just MY opinion.

Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

My 1980 Rolex Explorer II Reference 1655 "Steve McQueen". Wife bought if for me Christmas 1980 and I still wear it on occasion. I don't keep it in the original box but since I have it (and all the paperwork) it seemed like a good way to show it. I wear a Tag-Heuer Carrera Chronograph daily.

Oh man. Wrong place, wrong time, so sorry; that sucks. I hope damage to the paint isn't as bad as it appears at first glance.

    Porsche Testing 911 Hybrid!

Cool! The only downside is that if, as the article states, a hybrid 911 will have even higher performance than the current Turbo, to be consistent with Porsche's model hierarchy it will also have a higher price tag.
