I’m definitely not a fan of the spots sound though. BMW i4 had an acceptable artificial noise but always had it switched off. I suspect this will soon disappear from EV’s. Whine from my Taycan is quite loud but I’ve grown to like it.
I’m hoping it’s very similar to the Mission R. It’s a dedicated (albeit VAG) ev platform in so no reason why not. It needs to be a radical step on from Cayma in my view.
I never understood Porsche saying they’ll never make a 911 ev. The popularity of the Taycan must surely change their minds? I’ll definitely reserve an electric Cayman but suspect it’s two years away realistically. Until then a Taycan will do … tough life??
You can really drive away a base model Taycan with no extras and you know you’ll have a great handling car built to a very high standard. Porsche right from the early days have used this business model. For me a Taycan that can do 0-60 in under 5 seconds with a 300 mile range, coil springs is...
