    Anyone missing paddle shifters?

Can't really compare the function of ICE paddles and EV paddles. The Sport Plus mode in Taycan added fixed regen off throttle. I wonder if that was to simulate engine drag during sporty driving? Seemed an appropriate addition. Why not make that available full time and variable via a paddle?

    Anyone missing paddle shifters?

New PPE e-tron has regen paddles and a slightly improved implementation. I enjoyed them on my original e-tron 55, missed them on my Taycan CT4, and am enjoying them again on my SQ6. I use the paddles pretty much every time I drive. On the other hand "B" mode isn't my thing. Nice that they are...

So exactly the Taycan experience right down to the hated piano black. 😄

Macan EV 4 vs. Audi SQ6 - The PPE Platform Choice

Just traded in my '22 Taycan CT4 for an Audi SQ6 Edition One. I'd purchased the Taycan outright and there was no better way to set fire to my money while at the same time being absolutely smitten. It was pretty much my intention to switch over to the Macan EV when it became available, but the...

Porsche 718 Boxster convertible EV spotted charging at 170kw rate

Too much dirt, grime, and ice accumulation. Makes it messy to charge, can potentially expose the connectors to dirt and moisture intrusion and risks making the port inaccessible in freezing conditions. Not a lot of (any?) ports in this location. A minor rear end collision can make the car...

No way that charge port location makes it to production. No way.

Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

6.75" wrists so I love small chronos. :) This is now my most "Porsche" watch. Love the classic styling and the 39mm case. Since replaced the strap with original perforated piece on deployant clasp. Picked this up two weeks ago. The lacquered dial is wonderful. Also a good size at 38mm...

Lucid Air - Motor Trend Review

I love it and have had a reservation since the reveal. Exterior is a bit of a bore, but nice enough in person. Interior is nothing short of gorgeous, both in design and materials. Not luxurious? Hardly. I've spent quite a bit of time in two different beta vehicles and they were 95% there. The...

    A thought about Porsche pricing

I also have an e-tron GT on order. Configuring that car in the US is truly infuriating. Any way I spec the car I'll end up not getting things I want, settling for things that I don't love, and being saddled with things I don't need. This is decidedly NOT the way to sell a $120K vehicle. Porsche...
