Dropped off my Taycan today for service and was provided a Macan 4S loaner. Talked to my SA and he said my Macan is ok. Itāll be in Benicia port tonight but was saying that any vehicles that havenāt left port yet in Germany, are like subject to the price hikes.
Just read the headlines about it. Need to contact my SA since my boat just docked at San Diego and probably a few days before Benicia. Another week hopefully before delivery? Might have to reject it if this all goes down.
I think we just have limited functionality in the US. My Taycan has the HD Matrix and does as you mentioned. Auto high beams and it lights in the direction Iām turning as I can see the beams jump around left and right. Full matrix like the video would be cool. Rivian has it on their newer...
This looks like the shop used a template and the relief cut is on the bottom. My ā25 Taycan has a similar vent design and the relief cut is up top. The hole would have stretched it thin so there is a similar unprotected area on the top of my vent but the installer put an extra piece in that area...
From Emden to Benicia, generally a month. Depends on how busy the route is, especially in Panama.
For my Macan, it arrived at Emden on Feb 13. It just left there on Feb 25. My SA says probably late March for it to be at the dealer.
Anyone expecting theirs on the West Coast, US in March? Just recieved an update that it left Emden. Final destination is Benicia. Will track down the vessel name later this week with my SA. PWL site doesn't have current schedules posted.
Awesome! Thatās what I was looking for. Thanks all!
Kuat NV 2.0 is already just over 100lbs for the rack for 4 bike setup. Each bike is from 30 to 40lbs. Well within the limits but range hit for overall weight.
For context, I swapped out my OEM factory hitch on my Model X to a aftermarket one...
Thanks but thatās towing capacity. Tongue weight is different. Iām going to assume 2 lightweight MTB and the rack might max it out. Efficiency I know will be hit as it could be carrying about 300+ lbs.
For anyone with the tow hitch specād and taken delivery, are there labels there that says tongue weight capacity? Iāll be carrying a hitch mounted bike rack (Kuat NV 2.0) that has a capacity of carrying 2 or 4 bikes. 4 mountain bikes is probably pushing it for this vehicle.
Iāve checked online...
Check vessel tracker. Itāll usually tell you where the next stop is and with an ETA.
My Taycan took two stops in Southern California after Panama before its final destination to Benicia.
Iāll be updating mine to built and in transit soon. Manufacturing started today which was originally Feb 1.
My timelines:
Order confirmed 10/12/24
Freeze point 12/19/24
Manufacturing started 1/27/25
German port 2/5/25
These next dates and port and boat dates change so much but my SA said itās...
That rear hatch is like my Taycan CT. I had to pull apart the grommets to get my rear camera set up. One side unseals easily and the other clicks into place. I did a BlackVue DR970X box set up but slightly easier on the Taycan as I found BATT and ACC on the drivers side fuse box using open slots...
Itās just a waiting game. My Taycan last year sat at Emden for practically a month before it was assigned a ship. This was last November. Final destination was Benicia but once it gets assigned a ship, my SA let me know the name and I just tracked it online. The app doesnāt get updated often.
You can guess any ship but your SA should have all the details. My Taycan last month was not on a VW ship and one that isnāt on any of the lists that is on the Taycan or Macan forums for tracking. My SA gave me the name and I was able to track it various vessel tracking sites.
My order was placed in mid November. Dealer allocation was in October. Freeze point was last week and production should start next week. Should be seeing it in March.
I received an email from Porsche Janurary 7 which it showed up on the app for TYD. I didn't know since it's like the Tesla app...
