Will MACAN EV look like this?

I agree! The camo versions running around give me hesitance in terms of looks. I'm sure Porsche will come out with a good looking design once they're ready for the reveal. At least specs wise, I'm excited.

Does driving a Taycan make one an official EV and/or Porsche brand ambassador?

I've had a few conversations with other EV owners while charging in public. No real haters, just folks excited about EV driving and sharing their experience. I always try to compliment other people's cars as well and never try to one-up anyone. I'm not about the bragging life. I have had...

2024 Macan EV Interior Spied Showing Range Estimate, Sport Chrono, Instrument Gauge Cluster

I'm hoping the range is decent in the higher trims. Assuming the 314 miles is based on the base model, I'd like to see high 200 mile range real world with the S or a GTS ?

    Do you have other EV's?

My wife's daily driver is a Polestar 2, she was skeptical at first, but, loves it. Zero issues with the car. We're all EV for now.

Man discovers $80K truck takes 4 days to charge at home - Links

Walking to work takes longer than driving. More at 11. This reminds me of the meme where the claim was that EV charging costs $19.20/hr (DC fast charge $0.32 per minute) for 8 hours (L2 home charge time) totaling $153.60.

Polestar 2 owners not very happy???

The Polestar 2 is my wife's daily drive. Only 5 months in or so, but, other than one 2 hour window where the LTE modem was offline, it's been a very smooth experience so far. There are many reports related to issues mostly stemming from failing/failed TCAM modules. Since much of the car relies...

    U.S. EV charging issues

I can agree to that. We've had issues with some stations being offline, issues initiating the charge, or getting a low charge rate. Never had an issue not being able to charge, just that it takes longer to get working as we'd expected. It's definitely an early stage technology experience.

    Had my first EV experience….(Tesla)

I got used to the loss of most controls, but, the vent thing is very annoying. Nothing wrong with physically moving the vents like on most every car. You basically have to come to a stop in order to make adjustments.

Are we helping in the fight against climate change or just indulging our love of toys (er technology)?

There's plenty of studies arguing one way or another in terms of the net environmental impact of EVs vs ICE cars to where the argument can be made one way or the other in terms of what is better as of today. The way I figure is moving forward, burning gasoline will never get much cleaner...

Macan EV release delayed to 2024

Yikes! $1K for a Macan?! I asked my dealer and they just added me to the list, no deposit required.

Turmoil at VW: Porsches Postponed by Buggy Software Cost VW’s CEO His Job

Software has definitely become the core and central to the overall experience for cars (and life as a whole) nowadays. Most people have high expectations for software that just works and is well integrated. I do think that there'll be a shake-up in the auto industry because of this. The big...
