Low charge would be the most likely explanation, as @tmrqs said. Do you know what it was at? Sub 15% it begins power saving and you get reduced acceleration.
The Macan Turbo has exceptional pedal feel, far superior to any Tesla I've driven, and the power was more than sufficient for real world use. In fact, I prefer the lower powered 4S.
It's certainly a very different feel from a Tesla, maybe it's not your cup of tea?
No one is getting 600km.
A few things. It takes hundred of KMs for the efficiency to max out.
You're in Canada so it's cold and range is going to be 20-35% lower than summer range.
If you're on 22s you'll lose range from that as well.
You're probably looking closer to 370-410 km of range...
Maybe just a defective key fob? My Taycan used to send me that warning a lot. I also know the fobs are finicky about the exact battery used, I can't remember what the recommendation was with the Taycan.
You bought a Macan without knowing that Electric Porsches don't have one pedal regen? That's a really basic thing to have missed. It's also a huge selling point for me and others.
The App & Charge Planning has been known to be bad for a while.
The Electric Macan is a software step up from the...
It's worth mentioning that mile overage is actually not that bad. 30 cents a mile sounds terrible until you really math it out.
For example.. even 25k (17.5k extra) miles on a 7.5k lease is only 5250 or 437.5 extra a month.
I think it's actually worthwhile to get a lower mileage lease. The...
My Taycan Turbo S (I bought as a CPO) sold for 45% MSRP (inc 8k of tax credit, 39% without taxes) at just over 3 years old and 18k miles. The worst part is Porsche dealerships wouldn't touch it.
I've come to the conclusion that leasing, even with mileage overage, is superior to purchasing EVs...
Sorry to hear about your issues, that's incredibly frustrating. I've had a couple cars bought back and the back & forth is infuriating.
I highly doubt Porsche will let them harvest the part from another car, though. There are issues on their end with that idea from a liability pov and, frankly...
Everyone needs to keep in mind that most happy owners don't go on forums. Owners seeking answers do.
A poll on a forum is always going to show a high % of problems. I wouldn't say 15% is concerning for a forum poll. That's not to take away from people having problems; it sucks and Porsche...
I like these photos. Ice Grey looks markedly different in light vs overcast, going from near white to almost a blue grey, and these photos demonstrate that well.
It'll certainly sound different. Different model, not broken in.
I found it quite nice. Can't agree at all that it's a bad system. It takes 30 hours+ for audio systems to break in, so it makes sense your ICE would sound better right now as they are very, very similar systems. You've also had a...
It's just based on the country's regulations. The US and UK require it for safety. The reason air suspension is standard in the US is the lift height is required to meet SUV standards here.
Porsche would rather everything be an option. They only make things standard because countries force them to.
To be honest, I think it's in your head. I dont mean that disrespectfully, it's just easy to sit at a dealership and get critical, especially with other people feeding into it. It's the Porsche option effect.
I believe the system in the electric Macan is actually more powerful. It's 710 watts...
The biggest problem with buying a Taycan is you're going to get absolutely destroyed on residual. You'd be lucky to get 45% of MSRP two years from now, even with very low mileage.
Want to trade it in to a Porsche dealership? They don't want to touch Taycans. The three dealerships here offered...
Nice! My Taycan was by far the best car I've ever driven in the snow. Absolutely rock solid all the time. My BMWs and Jags have always felt a bit squirrely.
Glad to hear good early results on the Macan!
