welcome to the club! Although I do sincerely hope that it gets fixed asap, should be just some minor stuff. In my case it was the mechanism itself - it just needed lubrication (and some lovin)
wont sell it until June haha
Itās a very good car overall, very convenient (when things do work) and tech oriented - itās an allrounder of sorts, like the Swiss Army knife. Just not the greatest Porsche.
If you get past these nuisances you will enjoy it a lot!
And hereās my total to date on the Macan4.
far from optimal. Although I have to say I received the car late September and mostly drove it in October onwards - so already cold months. I think my long term Taycan CT average (previous gen) was 22.8kwh / 100km
Macan is a pretty cool allrounder / city cat - just picking up some dinner now, so nimble and no frills car. But it doesnāt have the vibe of Taycan at least for me
also while it drives phenomenally for an SUV; itās still not the same feeling as throwing the Taycan into corners / doing high speed runs
also since you come from Taycan4 CT- the Macan in low mode isnāt far higher than CT in lift mode. So getting in/ out isnāt a world of difference (on sedan...
Personally wouldnāt do it. Went Taycan 4CT 2023 into Macan4 2025 and now going back to Taycan, but gen 1.2 4CT and more options.
To me the build quality of the Macan is just significantly cheaper feeling / experience wise than the Taycan was (see the threads)
not sure if a video can capture this well. Letās just say that on a BMW i4 M50 I had or iX3 you just slightly pull the door when sitting down (or push away when exiting) and it closes shut with a nice āthunkā. On the Macan you need to keep pulling / pushing the door in same motion until
It...
Afraid this thread is going to decrease your resell value as well? š Sorry but itās the truth (for me) and many members here share the opinion.
Meanwhile I pulled the trigger on a new refresh Taycan 4CT as a replacement, with a deferred guaranteed trade in valid up to delivery date, so while...
It probably has better fit & finish than 90% macans out there from the extensive pics I've seen (panel gaps, charging flaps sticking out, etc)!
So I'd position it more like - if you want a Macan EV, even with all the common flaws, its a better Macan than the majority :D
I have a number of issues in favour of this decision:
- build quality interior - especially lower door covers (already pieces of material ripped and it turns out to be very thin film covering, i.e. the fake leather but its thinner than on a tesla, like 0.2mm film).
- some rattles here and there...
Car is in garage at home and at work. Ambient temps today around +2/3c and no rain, snow or any freezing. So I really don't see any environmental conditions...
What a crap construction. So here's the story - after failing to open it I contacted Porsche (2 dealers in the Netherlands). One simply was overloaded with requests and told me to call back later (Amsterdam). Then my own one told me I should just rip open the cover in the trunk and pull on an...
Hi guys, not sure if this was posted before on the forum (tried searching and found only issues on electric charge flaps).
Issue is - today all of a sudden neither of charge port flaps will open by pressing it. Tried locking / unlocking car, starting / shutting of car, pressing on the flap...
yeah thatās the premise. I had locked in a very high end of year discount on a new Panamera 4 e-hybrid, but im considering to swap it for a fully loaded 4S Macan, family choices - dealer is game, just waiting for their final confirmation. So basically itās a pivot from changing Macan4 to...
yeah I need that 4 second 0-100 punch, cause now 5 seconds feels slow. I used to own the i4 M50 and Model 3 Performance, it did 3.8 sec and 3.4 sec respectively, which is way faster acceleration than the Macan 4
Iāll know that at the moment I put my Macan4 for sale. Porsche isnāt offering anything attractive on the trade in, but the market is relatively okay for Macans still, as the model is very new. Reckon I can get around ā¬85K for mine back and new one with discount around ā¬118K. So probably 33-35K hit.
Hereās the build, comments are welcome!

idea is to go from fairly basic Macan 4 build I currently own in Ice Gray to something of a statement build. Went with Oak Green Neo and 22ā Neodyme coated rims, around 33K of options
Below is my current build Iām...
Macan 4 owner and 0 issues. Although Iām only still at my first 1000km - didnāt drive that much as of yet, but plenty of short trips without any issues. This being said, my Taycan 4 had also very few issues. Maybe an occasional PCM reset, but thatās it
Congrats! I wish they had released the 4S when I ordered mine⦠tried to change 4 to 4S but it was already locked for production.
Can you time the actual 0-100 with launch control?
