My 6 gen is now delayed until August or September due to the Quality Hold. Does anyone know when the 2026 models are expected to start showing up on dealer lots?
I‘ve waited so long an additional 30-60 days is nothing

Did you get something from your dealer saying it’s delayed to August/september?

mine has been stuck at Long Beach since 04/28 on the qc hold but I was told 06/28 would be the next true update.

My dates disappeared from the allocation sheet. The dealer is in the dark to the same extent I am. I don't think Toyota is sharing much at this stage. There is not much confidence in the dates when Toyota does share them.

I’ve seen several on these threads where their eta dates dropped off. Some have dropped off and then suddenly randomly appeared at the dealerships. Some are just sitting at the ports or rail yards. Looking at the spreadsheets, upwards of 90% of the trd models are showing factory to port or port to dealer but no eta date listed. Unless otherwise stated like a length of time qc hold, 42,56,70 day, I wouldn’t guess as to August or September. Toyota wants to make sales so they will get them out as soon as they can.

Weird. Our expected arrival date keeps moving up. Originally it was 07/30 and we're told its going to probably show up at some point now within the next 7-10 days.

Wondering which models are being impacted the most.

Seems to be the trd models, not sure if the premium versions make it worse or not.

I read somewhere that the 2026 models will be introduced in Sept or Oct. But don't quote me.

Not sure how it is in the US, currently in Canada here. But I was told there was a delay in April/May and would be receiving in mid July. I then suddenly got an update that the car was ready for pick up. No warning, no heads up to the dealer. Meanwhile I have heard other customers are now waiting until September.

I feel like it's been extremely random. Some people have been waiting since last year, whereas some people have ordered in the last 2-4 months and have it arrive earlier.

2026 production allocation reserve requests will change over in august.

production line will change over in june/july or adjustments made to incorporate line changes from the previous year as production line changes.

FY ends in march for toyota, hence they do the big push in april/may to kick start the new FY

overseas production ususally will hit USA shores in september/october

it depends on each regional allocation spread.

  • 1st tier dealers get first crack at allocations being fulfilled
  • within those 1st tier dealer, those that have a high volume sales will be higher on the allocation fulfillments by toyota
  • 2nd tier dealers are dealer that are not exclusive toyota dealer.

in my case i have a 2nd tier dealer since they sell ram/chevy/dodge along side toyota's. toyota frowns on this and the dealer knows this but they are kinda land locked on where they can expand.

east is zoned for family housing, west is across the highway but taken up by a bar, gas station and walmart and motels, north of the dealer lot is a home depot,

south across the street is the honda dealer (the toyota dealer was really stupid when they didnt buy the land across the street and turn it into a toyota only dealer, so the other family that owned the gmc/honda dealer bought the land to piss them off and broke out his honda dealership from his gmc/chevy dealer ship)

pretty smart move since people can walk across the street to the honda dealer instead of going across town)

but i digress, i put up with the long waits since they offer invoice if i put down a $1000/4 month non refundable deposit (if they cant fulfill my order in 4 months it becomes refundable) and i have to wait until my allocation request is picked up.

right now i am going on 8 months and i expect pushing 10-12 months before i get my vehicle. would i like it sooner, hell yeah, but i can wait. it took us 10 months to get the wife's tundra so i was already prepped to wait anyway.

upside, i picked the exact FIO/PIO that i wanted and i get invoice. downside is the long wait time.
