Seems I'm having random electrical issues, the most persistent is the automatic seat and steering wheel settings, sometimes they'll set fine, other times just the steering wheel will adjust, sometimes nothing adjusts. Same when I'm exiting, sometimes everything moves out of the way, other times not.

* I also have a rear seat alert on my dash for the first 2 or 3 minutes after starting the truck, then it goes out.
* Liftgate randomly does not want to open, rear window randomly doesn't want to open or close.
* This afternoon I kept getting an alert that my moonroof was open, it wasn't and I had to refresh my app to make it go away.
* Seems I also lost my nighttime lights on my mirror and rear tailgate when I get out if it's dark out. Worked the first few days now nothing.

When I took the truck for a test drive I was the first, less than 2 miles and all the wrappers still on, nothing electrical worked and the dealer told me that they had to set everything up in the computer and it would take 24 hours before everything would work.

Is there a chance that the initial startup on the computer system had an error or something went wrong with the setup? This stuff is way too new for me to understand. Does it need a software update?

Any help before I go to the dealership about this would be greatly appreciated

I'm wondering if the electrical power is limited during transport to keep from draining the battery. Maybe the dealer didn't get all the modules online during the pre delivery inspection. Take it back to the dealer.

only thing i can think off is someone didnt do the PDI correctly to set seat defaults.

there is a lot of settings that needs to be set to defaults before the customer gets the vehicle.

some of it is detailed in the owners manual.

to give you and idea, goto ccnut yt page and find his PDI video

I sent them an email describing the issues. They got back to me within 1/2 hr. and it's scheduled to go in tomorrow at 11 to see what's happening. They didn't seem too surprised when I said the PDI may need to be setup again.

P.S. I thought it wiser for me to send an email describing everything and what I'd like done to correct it rather than to talk to someone and try and explain without me loosing my temper. Communication in stressfull situations is not my strong suit. :(

Why are asking around? got something not working, go to the dealer and drop it off! after all it's free and under warranty.

Never lead them with what you think is wrong. Make them work at it. They will just do the PDI reset and give it back to you. Without giving it a proper diagnoses in many cases.

I hear you, nature of the beast, they'll take the path of least resistance but after buying new vehicles for the last 45+ years I learned it's best if you have an idea of what's going on before you take it back to the dealer and be upfront with them. Usually saves multiple return trips. JMHO

I agree, do your research. Unfortunately dealer techs are not all good. They want you in and out ASAP. Advisors are worst. I too would list and provide a printed copy of what the symptoms are a d my expectations. I give one to the advisor and ask if he has any questions. I leave another in the car for the tech.

I believe they straightened everything out today. They had it longer than I would have liked but there were 2 guys at it the entire time. They had to go into some sort of codes and change a few things and it took time to test as they went but everything seems good.

On a side note, they said the only thing they really do for prep before customer delivery beside check fluids, pressures etc, is plug a couple of fuses in so they don't drain the battery during shipping, all the other prep work is done before shipping.

My dealer didn’t perform the seat default baseline/PDI.

I was wondering why it was beeping every time I moved the seat, and wouldn’t save my seat settings.

I used the instructions on here to perform the default baseline and Voila! Everything works perfectly.

Pretty much what they told me what they did, he said he only checked codes in the vid, there isn't any mention of changing the codes, just clearing old ones.

The above vid didn't mention the fuses which my dealer said they had to install but it may only be with the one's coming from Japan.

Can you point me to the thread that sets the seats? thanks
