Apart definitely from Singer and maybe Ruf, these aftermarket kits and "upgrades" to 911s always seem to miss the point to me. The very best thing about Porsche is balance and connection, and useable horsepower. These kits "seem" to miss that point (I obviously haven't driven this one) and instead destroy that balance, feedback and elegance.
And I don't even want to get started on the body kit. It is like Giselle Bundchen or Heidi Klum going over the top with plastic surgery and ending up like the Cat woman. Blech.
I'm still considering whether to put down a deposit on a Singer 930, which is amazing and no hesitation apart from price (not that its not worth it but guilt over a lux purchase like that). The other type I have considered is something like this https://www.voitures-extravert.com/, but I worry that the balance would be destroyed due to weight . . . But I bet a green RS could be pretty amazing . . . https://www.voitures-extravert.com/rs
But thanks for the video. Horror voyeurism is fun!
IMHO most "custom kitted" cars regardless of brand and body type end up looking marginally to completely out of place, except for sports cars on the race track perhaps where the utility makes sense (for some, presumably)
If you own a car without driver over-riding stability control, or have switched stability control off, you will know that the power publicised can really only be used for high speed.
My 2WD Ferrari 355 has 380bhp and with Pirelli P-zeros doesn’t have enough grip for full throttle acceleration in 1st gear from a standstill and applying full throttle around a roundabout in 2nd gear it would probably spin.
4WD helps straight line acceleration and gives more parameters for the engineers to include in the stability algorithms which is better for seriously over powered cars.
Most cars over the last 20 to 30 years have had electronic prevention of this sort of thing so makers can continue to headline more and more nominal power not mentioning their clever engineers won’t actually be letting you have it almost all the time - which is just as well.
