Difference between LED Liftgate Light and Rear Cargo Lamp?

My Pro allocation shows the following two options:

LED Liftgate Light $200
LED liftgate light

Rear Cargo Lamp* $375
Cargo lamps provide bright white light for better visibility in cargo area.
•Includes lamps on both driver and passenger side for easy loading and unloading of cargo

Anyone know the difference between the two?

I haven't seen any photos of the LED Liftgate Light but it sounds like the lights will be on the liftgate itself, maybe at the bottom of the liftgate so that when the liftgate is open, it illuminates down at the rear portion of the cargo area and the ground / floor area behind the 4Runner.

I will say those cargo lights seem nice. We left them off as expensive as the ORP was already Without it’s a little

This is the most bizarre move by Toyota. These lights should come standard on all trims like years past. The interior lighting on the ORP is minimal and feels so cheap for such an expensive MSRP. Even tougher to imagine having to pay extra for them on the highest level trim. Hopefully we’ll see better aftermarket options in the future.

Has anyone figured out the part number for the rear cargo lights (on the door)? After a weekend of camping, I'm disappointed with how dim the lighting is in my ORP. Big downgrade from my 5th gen in that regard.

Posting here in the hopes that someone finds and posts the part number for the hatch (liftgate) lights. I installed the cargo lights last week. Very helpful for inside the vehicle but was hoping for liftgate lights to illuminate the area outside/below the liftgate. I'm not convinced that this will be a part I can easily install on my TRD ORP - I don't see an obvious cover opening on the gate to fit the lights that seem to only come on the Trailhunter, but still hopeful. In the meantime, I ordered a rechargeable magnetic light bar to attach to the end of the gate. (This is for tailgating-camping, etc.).

Since mine is on the qc hold and I cant see whats in the tailgate does the lift gate have a cover or something where these lights go if you dont have that option so you can add it or is it solid??

I'm thinking that they're using two different covers, one that has the lights as part of the cover and the other being a solid cover with no lights.

Assuming thats what they are doing I wonder if the solid cover will have the wiring hook up behind it or not. If it doesnt have anything seems like it will be a pain to add aftermarket options or even the oem one

My solution using a $40 rechargeable magnetic light from Amazon. Satisfies the objective and don't need to install a Trailhunter part that may not fit my ORP.

I don’t believe the “liftgatw lights” can be added after the fact. Those are a factory installed option. They are located on the inside of the liftgate itself and possibly part of that is the outside light located on the liftgate…..it is slight off center just above the license plate. I have the liftgate lights so I am not sure what it is like without.

cargo lights are awesome and I added those after the fact. Super easy to install and well worth it. All plug N play.
