Mine has started to do this - first heard it last week. It isn’t every time but it’s there. Wonder if it is from summer heat?

Thanks for letting me know. Bummer for both of us. Hopefully yours doesn’t become consistent.

Sounds like your dealer doesn’t really want to deal with it. I’d Find another dealer to take it to.

Yeah, there's only two dealers near me and they both kind of suck (IMO). I went there again this past Saturday and showed them that it's still making the noise and it's still at their shop (over 30 days now). Not the quality I expected in a $60k vehicle. Also not the level of stand-behind-your-product kind of service I expected from Toyota.

Sadly it’s exactly what I’d expect from Toyota. From my experience they’re stubborn AF until many people begin to report an issue. Then and only then do they admit fault.

I remember as a kid, the power sliding doors broke on my mom’s 04 sienna. Toyota did nothing, granted it was likely out of warranty. A year or so later, we got a notice in the mail about Toyota admitting there was a problem and doing a warranty enhancement to fix them.

Then there was the melting dashboard issue that took many complaints to get resolved.
