Update Jun 15**

Is anybody getting this error?

This is the second time this week that I have noticed this. It happened to me during the morning right after I got into the freeway at 70mph.

The message disappeared as soon as I turned it off and turned it back on.

2025 Toyota 4runner REDUCE ENGINE POWER / TRAILHUNTER 20250613_075550

**Update

I went to Toyota Dealership and there is not active errors on the engine, But they ran the scanner and found 3 codes on my Trailhunter:

-Code P0172
-Code P02351C
-Code C010064

The P0172 code in a Toyota vehicle indicates a "System Too Rich (Bank 1)" condition. This means the engine's computer has detected an air-fuel mixture that has too much fuel and not enough air in bank 1 of the engine.

Here's a breakdown:
  • Bank 1: Refers to the side of the engine that contains cylinder number one.

  • Too Rich: The engine is getting too much fuel relative to the amount of air it's taking in.

The Toyota error code C010064 is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) related to the Mass or Volume Air Flow Sensor "A" Signal Plausibility Failure. This indicates that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected an inconsistency between the airflow readings from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and other sensor inputs, such as the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

Recomendations:

Even if you dont have any active errors on Dashboard, ask them to run the scanner just in case. So far they could not verify if is a false positive or a real issue with the turbo, but they are going to troubleshoot monday. I'll keep you all update.

Never and at 2k now. At a minimum get it looked at. It could be a simple faulty sensor reading or something very serious. Whoever that you are working with, send them an email of this pic. Just to start a paper trail in case something comes up in the future. Dealers be like: pics/email or it didn't happen. Or roll the dice and wait to see it happens again
