GM’s using hairpin windings with a mix of induction and permanent magnet motors.
It’ll be interesting to see what different manufacturers do and what trends in the coming years.
I would guess it’ll continue to be mixes of technology for various trade offs. Manufacturing costs, size, power, weight, efficiency.
