Dash indicator will be bogus initially, probably from the initial dealer idling, moving in parking lots, et cetera. I reset it after a while it is now much more accurate to my calculated values. I have always calculated mileage every tank for all vehicles, that way I can track it and see if there are any trends indicating a possible problem (and for general interest). I now have 1700 miles on it, and have been consistently getting about 22.5-23 MPG (calculated, but now matches display pretty well). This is mostly freeway/in town, some rush hour (which actually improves mileage because of the hybrid system). Stock ORP.

Thanks for the update, I rest the avg. mpg. after every fill up and it has been staying very accurate compared to my Fuelly numbers.

New to forum. We leased a 2025 4 Runner Off Road Premium Hybrid. It is Underground color. We added TRD exhaust and air filter. What kind of gas mileage are other owners getting? 70 % city 30% highway, 87 octane with 1100 miles on it . We are averaging close to 19 mpg but no more.

City has been a bummer so far probably the mix of me blasting the a/c and 2 hours for 15 miles, leading me with an average of 17mpg, highways still getting over epa at around 25-26

Same observation here. That is a good sign of good battery management to extend longevity. Keeping it between 30% & 75%
After my most recent fill-up I noticed the battery had jumped to 6 bars which rarely happens for me, then suddenly: 7 bars. Did not stay there long but I wanted to record it for posterity.

And an actual MPG update: 4th tank fill. ODO at 1216 mi.
Third tank: 22.5 MPG. Best yet.
Composite milage since purchase (at 7 mi on ODO): 19.75 MPG. (first tank 16.2 MPG still dragging down the composite)
Observation: My 1.8 mile commute to the train station gets somewhere between 13 and 16 MPG and depends on how many of the 4 lights I make through without stopping.

There is no question in my mind, based on trip data, that my ORP Hybrid would get >25 MPG if I only drove on 2 lane rural routes where 55 is not just the limit but a necessity due to curves. The hybrid really excels at giving just enough juice to get over short rises in the road without the engine even kicking on (well, some of the time and with a very easy throttle).

I think I've only seen 7 bars once too.

YEs it's quite nice how long you can ride the EV on higher speeds if the road conditions allows it to and foot remains a feather. The best I've gotten on a single trip was 24.5 on city cursing @ 5am for 45 min or so.
The Toyo tires on TH probably do make that penalty on mpgs.
Do you still have the air dam on ?

So far to me the city MPG is not much EPA accurate. Even with a light foot on.

I know this might sound silly, but it seems to be more efficient to "launch" from a stop/roll to speed limit and then feather the throttle (35-45 speed limits) rather than slowly get to speed limit. All in city of course.

Yes, air dam still on. Well, fully reattached by the dealer since I lost the two screws on the passenger side at about 600 miles. I'm fine with the look and like the supposed extra half mpg.
Will be removing it when I head to the mountains for a real off-road excursion.
BTW - I can attest that the milage goes down with a mattress strapped to the roof:>) (22 MPG for a trip where I had gotten 26+ the week before)

9 weeks old tomorrow. 8200 miles. Air dam came off at 5000 miles. Just drove 600 miles driving 75 to 80mph and the meter is still hanging out at 22.5 mpg. Seems like this is where it's going to stay at. Last tank that I actually calculated the mileage was maybe 3 tanks ago and it was 23 mpg.

I'm in a trailhunter just got over 1000 miles on it, mostly highway. And I can't seem to get it over 16.1 mpg. I'm hoping city driving will get it up a bit, that's not even 300 miles on a tank
