Probably my only complaint after 7K miles over 4 months is the totally inaccurate sound and camera sensors for parking. This is not new technology—-it has been around for years and I wonder whether anyone has been able to have the side front and back sensors recalibrated.

Agreed. Between the inaccurate distance sensors and distorted fisheye rear camera, it’s especially hard to determine how close I am to objects when in reverse. Not quite as bad for objects in front.

I would also be interested to hear if sensor recalibration is possible and ideally (but unlikely) replacement of the rear camera.

I just quickly check the camera to see if the coast is clear for backing up (people/pets/lamp posts, small walls, bins, cars, etc.), then use the mirrors, always stop as soon as the the beeping becomes constant (for front & back; the rear sides I judge myself as I have eyes on the mirrors).
I know there is safety margin built in, I am not willing to use it, I will just park elsewhere and walk.
As abysmal the camera quality is if you care about that you have bought the wrong car.

Isn't your last sentence a little harsh? I mean, if a safety/convenience system is provided then you'd expect it to not only work but to be fit for purpose?

Wasn’t there a recall on the camera due to moisture potentially ruining the view? We’ve discussed this before on the forum. Personally I didn’t recall the camera or sensors being bad at all in my time with the car, but I guess I’ll find out for myself living with it when the car arrives.

I use the guide lines and they seem to be accurate both front and rear. The rear camera could be 4K but it is certainly not a safety hazard and good enough for parking. I don't depend on the acoustic sensors and alarms in any car I own or rent. They are just part of the toolbox that I tend to ignore.

There was a recall on the rear camera.

If I am going to be close to something - kerb or between parked cars, I use the Side View. A bit odd when i first used it, but now I think it is really helpful
