1995, 2005, and 2007 Toyota Landcruisers
Have owned 6 Toyota Landcruisers in my time and have loved the dependability and utility of the trucks. Last one I bought new was in 2007, as they started to get too expensive and full of gadgets. Over time have thinned the herd to a single 80 series and 2 100 series. Was excited when they first released the 250, but the first impressions have been mixed. I built a home down in South Carolina for retirement in a few years and was struck by the announcement about the rebirth of Scout. Coming from an offroad background, was not impressed with the EV options and not kicked in the head about EV in general with all the time involved in charging while on the road.

Scout Traveler with range extender seems like a great solution and nice to be able to look forward to a US built truck. my godfather had one that we used for bird hunting when I was a kid. I remember a very rough ride, but the ability to go anywhere. Hoping that the launch goes smoothly and I can get it to augment the fleet of aging Landcruisers I intend to keep forever.

Greetings from Central Texas. Growing up I always wanted a Scout but could never afford one. I’ve always loved pickups and have owned several. Currently I drive a company car and in a couple of years when I retire, I’ll buy a Terra and explore our great country.

Hi! Austin born, Texas gal here! I am so excited to have a Scout in the family again! I have been on the market for an EV and was about to throw my money at a Ford Lightning, but I’m holding out for my new Scout Traveler. I can’t wait to hit the parks and lakes with my pup! Pic of childhood Scout with my fur sister…. I can’t wait to take the same photo with my current Golden ❤. Trying to decide which color yellow to get, will add the Rallye White. Hoping for a white roof option! ✌

First car the I didn't share with my sister was a 71 Scout II small block with a 3-speed (I think). Then had a 73 4-speed with small block, and then finally bought a 79 345 automatic with the lux interior, which I had completely restored (changed the color to an awesome Porche pewter) in 1987. Drove it every day until 96, because I was now a father of 2 and the lack of safety features was causing me to lose sleep. (In truth, I was also tired of fighting the body rust in rainy Georgia, and I seemed to live with the wiring diagrams figuring out some electrical problem.) But Scout is part of my formative experience, and I've been following since I heard VW had brought the intellectual property. This probably replaces that 2016 A6 3.0 that I love (especially since the new A6's are electronic trash IMHO.)

Hi all. Decided to register following the 10/24/24 reveal date news. Looking forward to learning all about the Scout EVs with everyone here!

Been in a Model X for a few years now, so been comfortable living the EV life, but have always wished the X was more rugged and had some off-road capability. By the way Scout is describing the upcoming EV SUV and pickup, these should be robust and have legit off-road chops. Hoping the range comes in as good as the Rivian R1S, if not more.
And,,,,,,better paint, the X has crappy paint, door seals on the X just glued in place just dangle down without any tech holding them in place. 22 x totaled after running over a roll of barbed wire and the 24 replacement was delivered with rear seat backs that needed replacing because the carpet was bent upwards/ not flat. Robust is what I want.

Had a ford bronco, loved it but not electric, then got a mustang mach e, electric but wanted something bigger. The scout is the perfect combo of both of them. My mother had a husky hillman that she bought in the 50’s, the scout seemed like the perfect suv to fit the bill. Thanks, kirk
Wow! A Hillman. Haven’t thought about that beast in forever. We had one when we moved from Ft. Stockton, TX to Denver in 1958. Dad’s 1st. Scout was Two vehicles after the Hillman.

That ‘62 was my introduction to 4WD utility vehicles. I’ve loved them ever since. The Scout announcement caught me by surprise; and made me drool. Made my reservation in May for a Terra Harvester. All the growing-up good feelings welled up making me dream of doing it again in my retirement. Probably won‘t happen but a person needs a truck, and a 4WD, AND A SCOUT, right? My EV education has been eye opening to say the least. Can’t wait.
