Key FOB - Dealer programmed to open windows and moonroof

Has anyone had this do for their 2025 4Runner? What did this entail. Do you need to make an appointment and how long did it take? Did you have any other features enabled?

I assumed everything in 2025 had this and was bummed when it didn’t work. Good to know there’s a still a chance! Hoping someone has had this done and can provide some info.

Yes you can enable this with Carista.

Yes there are many customizable features that you can only access with GTS Plus the diagnostic software. You can make an appointment and request to change certain features. The best ones is to change the blinker when you hit it momentarily from 3 blinks to 5 or 7 blinks as three is to short. Also the next best one I found is to disable ESE Engine Sound Enhancement, which is it plays engine sounds in cabin.

I did it today. Set to disabled but to be honest I didn’t notice the ear sounds prior to changes. Maybe after I drive more I will notice the absence of the noise.

Carista device showed up, got it up and running in a few minutes and after plugging it in, the app connected and gave me a clear list of all configurable options. Super easy.

I can confirm the long hold window open works, along with any other feature I changed. Note, it opens the sunroof but it does not open the rear tailgate window.

What I would actually prefer, is a long hold of the lock button to close everything when leaving the car. That does not seem to exist. I was able to use the key and raise the windows, but taking out the physical key is a pain.

You can buy a carista or other similar device and do it yourself. Nothing to do with what trim you own. All of them should be the same.
