The 3/4 ARB roof rack comes with four cross members evenly spaced until you get to the one near the rear. Then, there is a noticeable void between the rear member and the back of the rack. If you climb above the rack, you will see pre-drilled holes for the fitting of an evenly spaced 5th cross-member bar. I ordered an additional bar, as did another individual who noticed the same thing on his new Trailhunter roof rack.

Does anyone know of any reason why these racks only have four cross members and are pre-drilled for an additional one?

I too had to order the fifth cross member so I could properly mount my gear up top. I can only imagine this was for costs savings given most Trailhunters likely don't see dirt, sadly. A bit annoying, but the ordered part fit perfectly and came with the hardware.

I believe it was about $110 from Sparks Parts (not including shipping). ...which was a bit annoying to say the least.

same. How much was the one slat?

I got one from Hanlees Toyota for $146.00. Did you notice the perfectly spaced pre-drilled holes? And, the new cross member fit perfectly on the trailhunter that is identical to yours and my rack.

Having dealt with that minor flaw, we can now figure out the hardware needed from ARB to utilize the roof rack.

I about to pick up my Trailhunter from the dealer and, if it is missing, am going to ask them about it. I would think it should be included gratis, no?

Can you advise the part number for the rail you bought?

I would think if the dealer has a market adjustment, then they should eat the additional cost if pointed out at the point of sale. However, if there is a short supply and a high-demand area, you will have to order the part from the parts department. And, while you're getting your wallet out, get the console safe. The console in the 2025 is small, but it is a valuable addition and more secure than the locked glove box.

Thanks for the info about the safe!

The new ARB rack differs from the older base rack in that instead of the dovetail fittings it now is compatible with the T-slot accessories that you can get from Thule, Yakima, and other brands.

Thank you for this. I called ARB support, who confirmed that they produce this roof rack exclusively for Toyota. They said all the previous ARB dovetail fittings are compatible, and confirmed that the T-slot system is compatible with accessories from Thule and many other brands using the T-slot system. Again, thank you, much appreciated.

I got my new cross member today and installed it immediately. Looks great, fits perfectly. The other poster here is 100% correct, stating you need a T40 bit for installation. Of course, T30 was as high as I had in the garage, so I went off to Home Depot. Bottom line.........well worth it.
