I discovered yesterday that Google maps are now also visible on the cluster screen when using Apple CarPlay. Previously it was only Apple Maps and Waze. But unfortunately the map disappears a few seconds after I start the navigation. Wondering if it's a bug in Google maps / iPhone or in Porsche's software.

I have no doubt, but with Apple CarPlay, Google hasn't released that feature until recently.
The only frustrating thing is that my Macan MY26 says it doesn't support the map after it has been visible for 2 seconds.
Google maps seems to work fine in, for example, the BMW IX, so it's probably Porsche that has to update the software...

Not sure why but on my screens, I get Google maps on the center screen and I get a WAZE map on the dash screen. Once I give Google maps an active destination, the dash screen goes to 'Apple car play active' -- the Waze map goes away. Rather strange. Waze directions work on both center and dash screens (Waze is owned by Google as we all know). Definitely a bug.. just don't know if it's with Google and/or Porsche software.

It used to be that, to get a map into the dash, you had to be using it to navigate, with the Porsche map being the default before navigation was started. You could then stop navigation and that map application would stick around in the center tube.
It seems they have some confused software there that is now trying to show the map from Car Play before it 'should'.
I too still get the 'Apple Car Play active' message for Google maps navigation, but not Waze.
