looks awesome, just wish it had a sunroof
Same, that's the ONE option that I wanted but couldn't get. That being said, almost all of the Everest ORP's that I was looking at also didn't have a moonroof, just seems like a rare option at the moment so I probably would have ended up without it in any case.

How do you feel about the rock sliders as a step for reaching the roof rack? (I know its not designed for this..)
I use mine quite a bit, and hope in the Trailhunter there is enough and safe reveal to step a muddy or snowy boot to reach up without much hesitation. It's hard to find online a picture of that angle.
Thanks!
The sliders seem to be mounted too close to the body for them to be used as a step, I was hoping there would be enough space too and tried using them as a step to get into the driver's seat the first couple of times, but there's barely enough space to get your toes in there in sneakers so I wouldn't imagine boots being able to. I plan on replacing the sliders with an aftermarket option that comes straight out from the mounts instead of angling up to hug the body, so I can use them as a dual-purpose step/slider.

Nice RIg! Always loved the color. I have to say... Of all things, I'm most envious of the yellow stitching on the seats. Aside from the big things, the little things that set it apart are really cool. CONGRATS!
Thanks! All the little additions like the yellow stitching and the Mineral dash trim and the topographic style floormats all add up to make it really feel like something special. And I say that having owned some special stuff like a 2020 Shelby GT350

what wheel locks are you getting?
It came with some pre-installed by Toyota, I'll just keep those

I can’t find a solid answer and maybe I didn’t search well enough but do you know/can you measure the height from ground to the top of the ARB roof rack?

If you're talking about the wheel lug nut that requires a key to loosen, why bother? Wheel lock nut is not as strong as solid nut as it has to be hollow to fit the key. Beside, all wheel thieves worth their 'name' already have a whole set of keys that fit everything in the world.
Look at advancelocks. It's been rated as the best wheel locks

True statement. The locks are a feel good item and will not slow down a pro.

I don’t own one, yet, but I saw a Tacoma Trailhunter at a car show today and I can say the rails don’t give much foot support, and I was hoping for a good solid place to stand.

Thanks a lot for the pictures and responses.
That's what these forums are all about! We appreciate it!
On a side note:
Once my dealer told me they did not get an allocation for a TRD ORP Everest, but instead they got a "bonus" trailhunter in everest uncalled for.....my gears started turning....
A few hours later I called him back and said: " If no one has their name on it I'm interested" a few nights of sleep later I was sold on all the extra stuff and the interior color is a big one for me. i was really gonna "I can live with it" mind set about the all black interior.
In summary it's such a nice package all around.
Me and my wife test drove a trailhunter tacoma and the Turbo noises did not differ her from it so we have a green light! The truck should be in first week of May!

After living with the same truck for 3 weeks almost I can add that it Really looks and feels special to drive it! Love it !
I am so glad & lucky I ended up stretching a bit further to get this interior vs. an all black ORP.

Also I am the tube sliders work better than I thought to step in and out. Not the best for old knees, but so far so good and the grip is better than it looks.

I ended up buying the CBI Rock Sliders to replace the factory ones, took 5 weeks for them to ship but they finally arrived and I installed them this weekend. I definitely wanted to use them as steps, and the CBI ones have plenty of width for it. I was a bit worried about grip in the winter when things are cold and icy so I ordered them in a raw finish and sprayed them in raptor liner. Turned out looking good and feels very grippy, hopefully it stays that way with a bit of snow on them! Overall, very happy with how much easier it is to get in and out of the truck now.

Yes they look really nice! Was installation simple I assume. If the stock ones would stick out just an tad more they would be much better for stepping,.

Yes, installation was very simple, 8x 14mm bolts per side, I reused the stock hardware.

It doesn't work as a step. The rock sliders are very close to the body. I can't imagine any adult being able to actually fit their foot on there. My kid can barely use it as a step, he's 6 years old. if you need roof access, you'll want a different rock slider with a kick out or step system.

I'll admit that I have a big foot, size 14, but you can see how close it is. If it is slick at all, you'd slip. Fingers crossed that someone makes a bolt on step for these rock sliders.

Yes I agree. I got mine a few weeks back already... the shoes I typically wear (Lems or flip flops) seem to grip really well on the bars, but yes clearance is minimal.... I bet with snow it will be game over, specially with big boots.... if the bars only stuck out 1" or so further out they would be ok for climbing.

well typically sliders are never meant to be used as foot steps and are supposed to be welded to the frame to add toughness and rigidity to slide along rocks.

they are suppose to hug the body to maintain width restrictions so you dont hang up on out croppings as easily as those steps that stick out.

i do know some aftermarket companies make sliders that stick out and double as steps, but then you get into the issue of sticking out and getting hung up
