Thanks for the cool render. It looks like you have the 35" tire in the stock spare location - have you measured to determine what is the largest tire that will fit underneath? Appreciate your feedback. (y)
The spare location will probably only fit anything below 34 inch.
Largest spare tire / max size that fits underneath is a 33" tire (285/70/R17).

See this thread: Largest / biggest size spare tire (diameter) that fits 33" inch tire (33's)

Hey guys, great setup! 🔥
How were you able to fit 35s ? What lift/levelling kit are you running?
We are running our 17x8.5 +25 wheels, on 35x12.5x17 tires. In order to clear, we had to push the wheel liners forward, trim a tiny bit of plastic and the rocker area, as well as removing the crash bracket in the front wheel well. The trimming is un-noticeable to the untrained eye.

You will ideally need a 2.5 inch lift front and at least a half inch or more lift on the rear to make it sit right with 35’s.

We are running Icon’s prototypes, they were using our 4Runner to test things out. It’s basically the billet stage 7 kit.

Thanks for the very detailed answer, appreciate it ! :)

I might stick to 315/70/17 then, to avoid having too much modification/trimming; looking at the Westcott design preload collar kit (2.5 inch lift in the front, 0.75 in the back)

That should be fine I assume ? (No crazy offroad planned here :) )

We didn’t have to trim that much, only maybe 1/4 inch on the front where the wheel liner bolts to, in order to push the liner forward a little, and a tiny bit of the sharp area off the rocker, mostly for better clearance when off-roading.

We have seen people get away with no trimming with the same setup. But most likely will rub a little if they take it off-road.

You should be good to go with that setup! 315/70/17 is almost the same as 35.

Here is a comparison from what it used to look like. 99% un-noticeable.

Awesome, thanks again for the feedback !

I just don’t trust my skills to go and cut stuff off a brand new $66K (Canadian pesos) truck 🤣
