I saw that it was an option in the ordering page, for an ORP, a couple of weeks ago, but now its disappeared. I tried looking at my local dealer and only the Off Road has the prewired AUX? Am I misremembering or do they not allow that anymore? Really would like the prewired AUX.

Pretty sure it’s alway been the trail hunter and pro that had the aux.

Someone on FB showed pics of the ORP having the wiring already run from the factory. Just a matter for getting a few connectors to make it work for your needs.

This is right under the wiper fluid. So guessing that’s it?

Also this is right under the power steering. Maybe a hookup for ditch lights?

He’s on a hybrid.

Hey that’s my post! And yeah wires appear to go to the blanks where AUX should be on the hybrid (mines a TRD ORP) I haven’t checked the fuse box yet if the fuses are there and/or which plug might be correct. Baja designs sells an upfitter harness for Tacomas that might still work for 4Runner that I may buy and test out until I can find the right part numbers for the Toyota pigtail harness (PS give a follow to my instagram! Same username as here)

These are ground junction points. White with black stripes wires are normally ground wires.

Update on this, my fuse box does not have fuses in the spots where aux 1-5 should be which makes sense, but unfortunately appears to also not have the relays and it’s a blank spot where some of the relays ought to be, with no wires to the open ended plugs that should be around the washer fluid fill neck. I did not have the proper switch to test and see if the wires going to the blanks inside were even powered, might order a universal switch to try that out because if power is going to the switches then it could be as easy as only needing a harness from fuse box to pigtails. The search continues!

Can do! I’ve watched a few videos on how the Land Cruiser guys have been doing it which is essentially to add an aftermarket switch unit as if we had the gasser, I was worried about running a positive from the battery in the trunk to the engine bay but there’s some spots under the hood still to use as a positive lead, and an aftermarket bezel to replace the small one above the switches above the driver’s left knee so I’ve got that ordered, already have a switch panel and some lights I just need some ditch light brackets to wrap it up and I’ll probably do a detailed standalone thread with pictures on it soon. It’ll look less OEM but in the end I’ll have more function, maybe I’ll replace the blank buttons with some Cali Raised or CH4x4 anyways just to have some fun with it

Which did you end up getting? I saw some from 4runnerlifestyle, but I wonder about quality. I also saw Auxbeam was cheap and the BantamX was way more expensive. Not sure which ones to get yet.

I already had the Auxbeam RA80 8-gang unit on my previous truck, and then based of the taco/4runner lifestyle website their options for the 8-gang were all 2.6” x 4.6” (4.55” on some) which is most likely Auxbeam’s BA80 unit based off the pictures and so I measured my switch plate from RA80 and it’s identical just with an added strobe/momentary programming feature button. I ordered the 4Runner lifestyle bezel above the drivers side (out of stock at Tacoma lifestyle for some reason but not 4Runner) and so once I get auxbeams extended power cables I can try and mount the unit, test lights, and run some wires to where the ditch lights will be, just need to get those brackets probably from CBI. Auxbeam’s units aren’t entirely the strongest but they gave me a free replacement a while back when my first RA80 had circuit 1 always active even when the switch wasn’t powered. I want diode dynamics new panel but can’t justify the cost when my RA80 works just fine, but it would probably fit taco/4r lifestyle’s third non Auxbeam option bezel with little to no modification based on looks

I am seeing the same thing on my TRD ORP hybrid. The four AUX port blanks actually have cable connectors going into them, and when I replace the blanks with some OEM switches from CaliRaised, they get power and seem to be working. When I toggle the switches, the corresponding blue LED (separate from the backlighting) turns on and off as you would expect.

I haven't looked for the pigtail connectors yet, but this seems very encouraging... Hoping others can do some further digging and we can find a way to wire into these AUX ports — either from the pigtail connectors, or barring that, from the relay/fuse box.

I circled the four AUX port cables in the last photo so you can clearly see the color-coding of the wires and 6-pin connectors, which may be useful in tracing them downstream.

AUX 1 = RED, PURPLE, [BLANK], BROWN, YELLOW, PINK (Black Connector)
AUX 2 = RED, LIGHT BLUE, [BLANK], BROWN, YELLOW, PINK (Blue Connector)
AUX 3 = RED, GREEN, [BLANK], BROWN, YELLOW, PINK (White Connector)
AUX 4 = RED, BLACK, [BLANK], BROWN, YELLOW, PINK. (Gray Connector)

Looks really promising!
