Does anyone know if the screen changes the numbered position depending on the car? My wife and I share the same Toyota app and the same driver on both of our cars. I think screen 1 is hers and mine is on 2 on the 4Runner but every so often I get in and turn mine on it’s set to something else I think on screen 1 but not the same icons as the Camry on screen 1.

Does anyone know if Toyota can push over the air updates to help slowly fix some of these user interface issues?

I'm still working through my settings based on Hacksaw's excellent guidance but wanted to make one quick observation: The list of settings for my ORP Hybrid is ALMOST the same as above (although slightly different order). Here are the differences I noticed:
- Hybrid does not have "2) Eco Indicator". This surprises me a bit because I thought the three driving modes for these two trims were the same: Normal, Eco, Sport. If I put it in ECO I get a green ECO symbol upper left middle of screen (about the 2 o'clock spot on left gauge (TACH for me). Don't have it as a choice in the left/right "content areas".
- Hybrid adds "MG gauge" that indicates status of battery (8 bars) and gauge that grows blue when traction motor is active (same gauge look as turbo boost but says MAX where turbo boost says iFORCE). I could not find what MG stands for (maybe just "Motor Gauge", which would make the manual redundant where it says MG gauge:>)

FWIW: My "main" screen settings have the MG gauge on the left and fuel economy on the right. Really training me to maximize use of the hybrid motor with immediate feedback.

More later when I build my version of Hacksaw's table.

Not sure if this answers the question, but you can put any of the "display contents" on either left or right and the same or different ones on each of the 3 screens. In my manual (Hybrid) the list of "content display area (left/right)" is on page 95. I'd assume that if you want to make your two toyota match, you could do that (for common features on the two vehicles). e.g., set them so regardless of car, your preferred info on screen 1 and your wife's on screen 2. (At this point I've fiddled so much I have no idea what was the default - and I'm not going to do a reset:>)

Thanks. I figured it out this afternoon when I used the Toyota Nav to go a local lumber yard. The Compass is replaced by turn by turn directions. As far as i can tell the Compass/Nav only works on the left or right (tach/speedo) - I could not figure out how to get it to display in the center of the MID. I'll watch the video when i have a chance.
Oh, interesting. So you saw something very different from Steve Clifford's video (that video is ~1.5 years old so maybe Toyota fixed its known problems since then). So let's go with what you saw as probably the current way it operates: the Navigation selection for either the left or right screen defaults to compass but auto-switches to map guidance if you're actively using Toyota's nav, and then back to compass if you turn navigation off. Is that the correct way to summarize it?

I seldom use navigation and I also never pair my phone to the car, so I won't be able to see if mine does that too, and/or whether Waze or Google Maps now works. Maybe someone else who uses those apps could confirm if those now work.

Thanks for updating the thread with the differences for the hybrid ORP. I wonder if the hybrid-only trims have yet another variation of selections.

As promised earlier, I've finally worked my way through the options and for the moment, decided on the following for my Hybrid ORP. I realized that Hacksaw's structure made too much sense after experimenting with other representations. I really like the instant feedback of the fuel economy meter and ability to maximize use o "battery only" by watching the "MG" meter while feathering the throttle - or watching its response when you need to get up and go. I'm sure to change these in the future. Wish there were 5 or 6 screens instead of 3 so I could have all the data I want available just by toggling through while on the move and not have to go to the settings screen (which is possible while on the move but not recommended:>) Table below is cut and paste from an XLS file and I think could be copied back from here if desired (although formatting did not paste):
LEFTCENTER: Driving Support System InfoRIGHT
2Fuel Economy1
xNav. Compass/Route Guidance
Audiox
Drive: Avg Speed/Dist/Time (trip)x
xTrip (A/B): Speed/Dist/Time (since reset)
xTraction Monitor: Drxn/Spin indicator
Tire Inflation Pressure3
xTrailer brake

Pitch & Rollx
