The black plastic piece just under the rear wiper pops right off. Start by pulling down (gently) with the lift gate closed, the right side of the piece just under the wiper motor.

For the spoiler, after you remove the 4 bolts located under the black rubber grommets, it give it enough opening to run the cable through. You don't have to remove it in order to run the cabling.
Yep, im a big dumb dumb and was trying to get the wrong thing off for the plastic. I did end up removing the entire spoiler which was 2 more screws and 2 clips and was able to get everything installed. I ended up installing the camera more towards the middle than you have you have yours but will have to remount because again... dumb dumb... Did not account for the window while I was installing the camera so it buts up a little too close to it. Ah, the joys of DIY.

One other thing I would be careful to do is to seal up that red reverse wire end. The inside of the spoiler gets really wet as it appears to be used to drain the rear end of the roof. I've read that if the red wire end gets exposed to water, it will trigger the camera to enter into reverse camera mode on the mirror screen.

I ended up trimming the red wire and sealing the end of it since I know I won't be using the camera as a back-up reverse camera.

@jaymay82 & @Geofflolz, did either of you have to drill into the spoiler to get the wire back into the trunk or is there a way to do this all without drilling into anything?

Excuse the dirt. But I drilled the camera into the plastic part under the spoiler and then on the same part drilled another small hole behind (where it tucks up 2nd photo in from the underside) then just ran it through the channel with the other wires from the hatch into the vehicle.

I ran the wire from the mirror along the headliner on the driver's side, and the wire from the camera through the rubber harness located inside the top of the rear liftgate. Similar to what was shown in the youtube video I posted in the comments. There's no need to drill to run the wire.

I did drill a hole for the mount (also shown in the video) as the adhesive alone was not looking to be that secure long-term.

Definitely make sure everything is water tight as the roof directly drains water into the spoiler.

@jaymay82 @Geofflolz how did you guys route the this firewall and hose? Ive been struggling on this

I attached the wire to a long ziptie and pulled it through.

I saw others that sliced a tiny hole in the middle portion of the rubber cover to run the wire through, and then sealed it with electrical tape.

Same, I just used a wire feeder instead of a zip tie but same concept. Just folded the rubber channel about half way and snaked the metal line through / pulled the connector out and ran it along with the stock wires.
