What we don’t want them to do is to pull a VW or Rivian, or BMW, etc. with if you select an option it makes you switch your trim. So if they do what it sounds like, these will be very customizable while specking and after they are in consumer hands.

Original used 80, then 800, 800A/B. Numeric model designation could carry over some of that nostalgia.

Any chance we'll see a trim w/ on-road bias, such as w/ all-weather 3PMSF tires vs. all-terrain? The former can be better in snow & slush, though not as good as dedicated winter. We're in N. VA, never go off-road, and I've got these on our cars - Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive.

Does anyone have an idea when we might be seeing build sheets and actual offerings. What's that timeline that we will be seeing that. I'm sure there's a transition time between reservations to ordering is it 6 months ??

We are looking at a number of trim options. Too early to say, but something similar has been discussed.

Fingers crossed for an old-school or heritage model!!! I want a hard top that comes off just like the old Scouts with a retro package!!! If not, I will be canceling our two reservations, so I really hope they come out with one because I really would like a Scout.

Tops aren’t removable on these models. But the 2 door that is coming out probably around 2029-30 will allow for the roof to come off.

Yep thank you. I know on these models the roof doesn’t come off. That’s why I’m hoping that they’ll come out with the heritage model. I’m keeping and made my reservations in the hope that by 2027/2028 when the Scouts come out that they will have engineered a heritage model. That is my thinking. They probably won’t though if I am to be realistic.

Did Scout announce a 2029 two door model where the roof comes off, or is that speculation??

The two door was shown in a presentation by Scout. But 29’-30’ is a guess since they are only starting with the Traveler and Terra.

My only worry about too many trims options is it gives them the ability to raise the price of the vehicle. Please keep it affordable.
I agree.
The MFG's most always seem to offer three trims.
Chevy recently dropped the cheapest of four trims on the EV Blazer.

Car dealers around the TMZ rarely offer any model in the cheapest trims that I have ever seen.
Hubcaps are usually the red flag it's "stripped" and the driver bought it out of town or even out of state.

Great decision make it happen Scout!.

Trim Levels not only make it easier for customers in the buying process (simplifies options into easier to understand/pick packages), but I think it also promotes stronger brand/vehicle identity too. Look at the Bronco and Jeep owners, they love to be identified by their trims / models (Rubicon, Mojave, Sasquatch, etc.)

Anybody have any cool ideas for Trim names for the Traveler and Terra?

Load that thing up! I’ve worked hard and now I want a truck that respects the money I’ve made.

Good take.
We don't want a glass roof, but we'll take everything else.

My dad sold his loaded Toyota truck and bought a stripped down Toyota truck.
Had crank roll up windows amongst dashboard plugs that were now in the place of options. Your voice echo'd in the cab bouncing off the vinyl floor and seats instead of carpet and cloth.

Still buys replacement hubcaps off eBay.

He still regrets that decision and misses the automatic trans.
