Was just browsing at the inventory list (limited trim) and I found this 4runner Limited in Heritage Blue being pre-sold or someone put on a deposit for almost 5k over msrp (Fresno, CA). Just a shock that someone would buy this 4runner at this price, maybe because it's the only Heritage Blue that is currently on sold in CA? Maybe the buyer was able to negotiate lowering the price and didn't reflect on the inventory. Not sure about the other trims (i am not tracking) but is it normal for people buy at this price?

One dealer close to my home charges $4995 for all colors and right now all sold out. This is CA that considers $100K income as low income. You don't need to be a salesman to sell cars here. It is seller's market. I looked at 2024 sold 4runner, someone paid $10,000 markup for a TDR Pro.

Just put a deposit down for a ORP in Everest here in SoCal for 58k MSRP so it’s not entirely impossible.

One dealer close to my home charges $4995 for all colors and right now all sold out. This is CA that considers $100K income as low income. You don't need to be a salesman to sell cars here. It is seller's market. I looked at 2024 sold 4runner, someone paid $10,000 markup for a TDR Pro.
You're not wrong. Unfortunately, it is how it is in some parts in CA. I guess these salesmans/dealership needed an extra income to compensate the state cost of living. And I guess some people's $10k is like $1000 for rich people. With that 10k markup I could just spend it on PPF.

Nice. What's your ORP ETA? I assume you had options added to make it 58k? I made a deposit on a Limited with 3rd row and had some options deleted so it went from 64k to 62k msrp

Btw, only the Port Installed Options the only ones negotiable. The Factory Installed Options are final. And it depends on what phase code the vehicle is in. I instantly called the dealer on the day they had the allocation. So was able to remove some like cross bars, floor mats, and a overpriced charging cable set. You try asking your dealer if it's possible. It may differ because of dealership policy. No hurt in trying. Hopefully yours isn't affected by QC hold. GL

Where I live they mark up 5-10k, someone bought the trd pro they had that was nearly $80k. I doubt they moved on that price because they had zero interest in me when I told him I wouldn’t pay a mark up. I’d rather drive 500 miles to get a car that’s not marked up, which is what we are doing.

The dealer in TX I went with has pretty much everything msrp: of course with port add ons, etc.
I was there yesterday getting my first oil change and I spent time w/ my sales guy and he showed their inventory on his system and 0 limited's right now... they had about 40 4runners overall and mostly sold already.
I originally had requested a TRD ORP hybrid everest w/ aux sitches. It was no near in sight when they got the allocation of a Trailhunter I ended up getting instead. They recently got that allocation after all ( still in delivery status ) and its sold already @ 63K

2025 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium - Heritage Blue Hybrid
I was looking at all the dealers in northern VA and surroundings to compare offers and what I saw (confirmed by the links posted in this forum ( Vehicle_Inventory - Google Drive ) is that some dealers were marking all the 4Runners up by $2-5K and some were advertising MSRP (did not find any local discounts).
My personal experience is even more notable. After a bunch of evaluating, I settled on a Heritage Blue TRD ORP. Dealer near me got one in and the salesman I'd been working with texted me so I went right over for a test drive. I had previously noted to him and a sales manager that I would not pay more than MSRP. I was ready to buy - checkbook in hand - after doing a quick test drive. They offered me their advertised price (with $5K dealer premium). I reminded them of my position and 2 or 3 sales managers got together and chatted at their desk and one of them (senior to the one I'd talked to before) came back with a new offer - $2500 premium. I said that I know I can get MSRP and was willing to buy the car that minute if they erased the premium. Their response was that they sold a Limited with the $5K premium earlier in the day. I said: "Good for you, but I'm paying MSRP at max." No dice. So I walked out disappointed (the salesman was more disappointed than me:>) Put a deposit - for MSRP - on the same exact vehicle scheduled to show up at another dealership (8 miles away) in a month. Salesman at dealership 2 noted that a Hybrid version might show up earlier. I told him to let me know when it arrived. In the meantime I did more research and when the Hybrid showed up (a week after I was ready to buy at dealer 1) I pulled the trigger.
But maybe dealer 1 did the right thing since the VIN for the car I almost bought shows up on the "sold" spreadsheet now. And still shows the $5K premium -so if that data does not get updated after the actual sale, some sucker paid $2K more for ORP IForce than I did for ORP iForce Max.
TLDR: Dealer premiums are out there but you don't need to pay it.
